Asih really made an impact on me. She creates a space for (especially) children and people to come together to play, learn and most importantly just be. She challenges people to think out of the box, rethink their believes without projecting her own perspective onto them. Places like this make me feel such a relief on where the world is going. Beside that, she is an amazing cook. She likes to experiment and share her delicious meals. Also, the family, is so kind. Her children are very nice to be and communicate with. Also the cats are very cute. I would definitely love to come back. thank you

Mila is such a lovable soul, a gorgeous women, content and mature over her age. It was very nice to have a conversation and turned out into deep talk sometimes while cooking or baking in the kitchen. She is passionate to connect with the children and local women. Special thanks for your support to purchase the Omah Sinau Gesang t-shirt, it helps a lot for promotion of the organization and it's mission. Wishing you all the very best for your journey ahead. You are always welcome to come back home at OSG Eco-farm and Creative Hub❤️

Had an amazing 2 weeks, it really was a home away from home. Got to see some amazing places around the area, eat great home cooked food, got to experience some things I would otherwise and laugh a lot. Not only the family but everyone was welcoming.

Thank you Asih for being the most caring, wonderful and encouraging host. With her lovely family in Gesang you truly get an authentic stay in Indonesia. Meeting new people, eating delicious home cooked local food and exploring lumajang every single day! Help out in their big garden, play with the kids or just take a nap during the hottest hours. I had no expectations and got totally blown away. A place I would never find by myself and totally fell in love with! Gonna miss my second family, Asih, Haidar, Ardi, Rara, the cats and all the wonderful people! Terima kasih

Asih & her family are an amazing host! They tried their very best to make me feel comfortable throughout the stays. Despite seeing the impact of the learning the organization that Asih is trying to build, I get to immerse into local culture very well. The accommodation is very comfortable as the tent is equipped with a comfortable mattress. The food, people & whole environment is super welcoming. Thank you Asih & family.

Terima Kasih baniak to Asih and her family! I've had an amazing experience during my stay with you and I've meet beautiful souls. I've learned a lot about Javanese culture, like dance, traditional music and food. We have discovered the gems that the villages of Gesang and Lumajang have to offer and we've connected to the locals. About the work, it's really flexible. In the morning, we usually have worked few hours in the beautiful garden, planting chilis and removing weeds. And during the afternoons, we played with the children. Asih is an excellent cook, I've eaten delicious dishes.

I couldn't of had a better experience at the organization, Asih and her family really made me feel at home and I was always made sure I was comfortable. Gardening and meeting the kids from the village was also so much fun and I'd love to re-visit in the future to see how everyone and the project is getting on, Thanks Asih's, Ardy, Haidar and Rara

My time went by to fast! This place felt like a home away from home. Asih was very welcoming, quick in communication and tried to make suggestions work! We did touristic things in combination with having local experiences. Her family is amazing, the kids were a bubble of joy, the locals were lovely and a thankyou to my fellow volunteers! I loved the rural life, all the stories and experiencing the more authentic Indonesian lifestyle. A lot of pictures... but the people mainly mean well. The social and environment impact and awareness makes it a nice and diverse experience. The tent slept well!

We had an incredible experience. Asih and her family made us feel right at home. The accommodation is basic, but it has everything you need. We slept in a tent placed in a gazebo that protected us from the random tropical storms that could happen occasionally. Asih provided three amazing home cooked meals per day and showed us how to make Indonesian dishes like gado gado. Our volunteering activities variated on a daily base from working in the garden to spending time with the kids and members from the local community. We also had enough time to visit the surrounding areas. Great experience!
