My experience was great. The work instructions were always clear and the work was chilled. I got to learn about permaculture and planting. The food was amazing, and I also got the chance to get some recepies from Zara. It is also the perfect place to practice your spanish, but Juan was kind enough to translate me some things in English.

The experience at the project was magical. This place offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in nature. The hosts and volunteers felt like family. The genuine connection and support from everyone create a truly unforgettable experience, a journey of self-discovery and nature connection. Also there were a lot of mosquitoes around so come prepared. Zara, Juan and Andreu thank you so much for the experience!

I had a great time at the project. The place and the surrounding area are incredibly peaceful and beautiful, and you really get to be in touch with nature. The work was very interesting and doable. I enjoyed learning about Ecoconstruction and being part of their little family and helping them to create an amazing place.

O projeto é um lugar realmente especial. A própria serra é um lugar sagrado e foi muito bom poder viver lá por 1 mês com pessoas que respeitam e amam a natureza em todas as suas formas e que me mostraram outras formas de me conectar ao mundo. Toda a gente foi muito amável, e o trabalho é interessante e passa rápido e sempre dá para dar um mergulho numa cascata para o resto do dia :) . Zara foi muito amável, e a terapia que fiz foi um dos melhores tratamentos da minha vida. Um especial obrigada a esta familia bonita, Zara, Juan, Andre, Frank e Paola e a Candela! Teria gosto em voltar :)

We stayed at the project for 2 weeks and it was lovely to stay in such a beautiful area. To get to the house you need to take a 30 minute moto ride , which is 20,000COP per person. As we also had bags this cost 60,000COP. So we would recommend don't bring big bags with you! Juan was a great host, he is a great cook and a great teacher. We learnt a lot of different permaculture processes while we were there. We would recommend that you are at a good level of Spanish to stay here, we are beginner Spanish and found it difficult to communicate with everyone. Also bring A LOT of bug spray!

The project is a place where you can deeply engage with nature, the family and other volunteers. I've never been with a family as a host before, so for me it was intense and took me time to adapt! Sara knows a lot about holistic therapies and Juan about farming, biocontrucion... so they are the perfect match to go along with their project in the mountains! They are beautiful people and are available to teach you want they know, during the work, meals or leisure times. I am already missing it!

Juan and Zara were amazing and welcomed me well. I felt very comfortable. The hours were very chill and the food is delicious. Definitely recommend.

If you are looking for an experience in eco-construction and permaculture, I can only recommend Juan's family place. You will not only learn about those two area, but also local traditions, cooking with local spices and fruits, while spending good times with the host and volunteers!

Juan and his family made our stay an excellent experience! I thought it would be nice for knowing locals and make social impact, but it was much better than expected. I learned so much about bioconstruction and permaculture. The tasks are well diveded as well, so you don't do just repetitive activities. It was a pleasure interacting with the family, the comunity around and knowing so many beautiful places with almost no turista at all. A great moment for reconnecting with nature and been more socially and environmentally aware.
