Are you passionate about gardening and sustainable agriculture? Join us this summer on our farm near Gol, Norway, and help us build our vegetable garden from scratch. We're looking for volunteers with experience in gardening, agronomy, or simply a strong desire to learn and work outdoors.

Main Tasks:

Design and prepare spaces for planting.
Plant, care for, and harvest vegetables and herbs.
Share ideas for implementing sustainable gardening


Que ofreces?

Are you passionate about gardening, sustainable agriculture, or helping with creative and hands-on tasks? Join us this summer on our farm near Gol, Norway! We're starting a vegetable garden from scratch, but we also need support with various other tasks, such as managing our website, photography, bartending in our cozy pub, or assisting in the kitchen.

We believe in a balanced lifestyle! Volunteers will work no more than 5 hours per day, and we’re flexible in arranging your schedule to ensure you have plenty of time to explore, relax, and make the most of your stay.


Reglas

Dear Volunteer,
Welcome to Hesla Farm! Here are some things you should know during your stay with us:

.We ask you to keep your living space clean every day during your stay.

.If you want to use the washing machine, please ask the house managers to coordinate the best time.

.You will work a maximum of 30 hours per week. Every Monday we’ll talk with you to plan the week according to the needs of the farm.

.There are different types of tasks: bar work, cleaning, administration, general maintenance, and kitchen work. You will be assigned according to the weekly work plan.

.There is no monetary compensation, as your stay includes accommodation and meals.

.Water, coffee, and juice are free. Please pay for any other drinks or extras you wish to consume.

.If you need time off on special dates, you can request it. Otherwise, days off will be scheduled depending on the workload.

.It is important that all volunteers know the emergency numbers in Norway. These services are available 24/7 and can be accessed from any mobile or landline phone at no additional cost. Please familiarize yourself with these numbers and make sure you have access to a phone in case of emergency.

.If you have experience in farming, cooking, or maintenance, please let us know.

.You are welcome to share your talents or skills such as art, music, etc.

.If you have any problem, please speak up. We want you to enjoy your stay.

.External visitors must be: in common areas, authorized by the administration, and only during your free time and daytime shift. The farm does not accept external visitors at night.
