The people made the experience not the place.I never really met Magda, the host, and the other host,George, was very mean and rude. The accommodation was very disappointing, I had a cough from the start of my stay from the mold in the accommodation and there was also a big problem with bed bugs that the host did not address. The team and the people are amazing! I made really good connections! I would recommend this place if the accommodation was a lot better and if the host was more friendly. The work can be a bit hard but overall it was good. You work where they need you not what you apply for

First volunteering experience and it was not how I expected it to be…. It was quite chaotic from the beginning on. I didn't get a proper accommodation (I didn't get a bed in the stuff dorm for the first two nights) also the rooms and bed were quite dirty and had bed bugs… Unfortunately the first four days I didn't get put on the schedule like other volunteers and had to help clean a private apartment without fixated hours. All though after I got put on the schedule everything worked out okay. The meals were as promised! The best thing there were the other volunteers who became good friends!

The place has its good and bad sides, but overall I had a great time there. The beach is beautiful, and the surrounding landscapes are amazing! There are lots of places to visit and activities to do. The work can be hard, and the facilities aren't the best. The vibe of the place depends on the season—after Easter, the shops and restaurants open. If you like parties and that kind of thing, you should go in the summer.

This was my first Worldpackers experience and, while it wasn't exactly what I expected, it was still very enjoyable. I volunteered during the quiet shoulder season in April. Most volunteers worked 9 AM to 3 PM, with a rotating roster for dinner dish duty. The work could feel repetitive and a bit disorganised, but working in the kitchen gave me more structure and a deeper insight into greek culture. The highlight was definitely the people and overcoming my shyness really enhanced the experience. Message me for more!

Volunteering at this hostel was a mixed but meaningful experience. The work was varied, painting, cleaning, guest help, and personally I leading hiking tours, which I really enjoyed. But living conditions weren't great, rooms were rarely cleaned, supplies were limited, and arriving first meant cleaning up old messes. Schedules were often unclear, management was disorganized, and expectations shifted without notice. Still, the group of volunteers and staff made it worthwhile, we supported each other, shared laughs, and made the best of a tough setup. I left with good memories and new friends.

The other volunteers and workers really made this experience absolutely great and we had a blast! I was there during the low season, so we barely had any guests and the village was empty as well, but I think during the high season there will be a lot more people and parties. Most of the time the hours, dorm and food were as agreed upon. Sometimes the work was not explained clearly and sometimes it felt useless to do certain tasks. But I think if you are there with other volunteers you will have a great time. You also can kayak, surf and do yoga. On my last day I even got to go on an ATV Tour.

I had an amazing time here! The island itself is stunning and the pink palace is a great location. The communication and cleanliness of the accommodation could have been much better, but the views are beautiful and it's an amazing place. The crew is very supportive and the other volunteers here became my family:)

My stay was cut very short so I didn't get to experience as much as I would have liked to! Magda, Tim and Richie are very welcoming people and helped me to feel part of the team very quickly. I had to go home due to family issues and they were very supportive and helped with booking transport etc. If you prefer solitude and peace then go in the off season but if you want it to be busier and more activities to do I would recommend visiting in the Summer time!

My experience at the Pink Palace was AMAZING. It was my first volunteering and my first time in Europe and couldn't ask for more. The warm weather, the food, the local people made me feel at home. I got to do lots of activities for free such as paddle board and kayak tours, hikings, took shuttles to other beaches and places in the island, yoga classes. Learned new things like gardening, olive picking, front desk, etc. It was truly an experience that changed my life for the better and that I will treasure for ever. Thank you to all the volunteers that I met, the staff, Magda, George.

Pink Palace is a very unique place, and the ability to help harvest olives from the historic trees around the property was unique! The meals provided were delicious! Magda is very kind and accommodating, she took us to the Monastery in Palaiokastritsa as a fun outing. I would definitely recommend considering if the offseason (Oct - April) is the right time to come, it can be very quiet and most shops are closed. A more social experience would be during the busy season.
