Staying here felt like living with friends. I helped with breakfast, changing beds, and a bit of cleaning - super chill and homey. Duy's parents cook amazing Vietnamese food, and meals are usually shared with them and Duy. There's not much structure, more of a go with the flow vibe, so if you need structure and organization, it might not be ideal. Duy speaks great English and is really kind and understanding. Work hours were shorter than expected since there wasn't always much to do. You can also do the Ha Giang Loop through them with a discount. Overall, a warm and easygoing experience!

This was such a great first place to volunteer! The hostel is nice, all the people are so friendly, I really felt at home. The work itself was mostly making breakfast, some cleaning and making the beds. Divided by us three volunteers, it was not a lot. I can imagine that it might take some time if you're the only volunteer doing all the work. The best thing was the loop, which I could do with a discount. I loved my time in Ha Giang and already miss everyone!

My whole stay with atthe guest house was amazing. Not only Duy, but also all the drivers are extremely kind and welcoming. The job was not crazy at all, usual cleaning of the hostel and rooms, making breakfast, checking in guests, etc. Also Duys parents are the greatest, super nice, super funny and his mom is a great cook! Definitely recommend volunteering here!

I had a great time volunteering for Duy andthe guest house! He, his family, and the four really cute cats are very welcoming. The work is very doable, and Duy is open to any feedback or ideas. He really cares about the work he does and about his volunteers. He put a lot of effort into making sure I had a good time here, and helped me to get to know the town of ha giang and Vietnamese culture a bit better. I consider him my friend by the end of this volunteering experience, and wish him and histhe guest house all the best!!

I very much enjoyed my stay at this place but there is many things that should get improved for future. Duy, the owner is very chill guy, you will laugh with him for sure! His parents live next doors and mom will cook you the most delicious food every lunch and evening! the food was really unforgettable! But remember you are in Vietnam and be careful what is on the table hahah 🤓😃 Sleeping is in dorm room, very nice room! Bright and clean. Work is super easy - prepare breakfast, change bedsheets, simple cleaning. There is not much organization from Duy, so just do what feeels right todo

I really felt at home while volunteering at thethe guest house. Duy is a really nice host and even showed us local places to eat. When he didn't took us out to eat I ate with his parents for free, which was so delicious! The tasks are easy too: Doing a simple breakfast for the guests(around 8 am), changing sheets, doing laundry, and welcoming guests with some fruit. I also got to to the loop-tour with a generous discount and it was one of the best experiences I ever had. The cats are soo cute as well! I would really recommend it

It was my first time volunteering in a hostel and the experience is very good. Tasks are simple (preparing basic breakfast, washing dishes and changing the beds sheets). You can also help with creating a website or with social media. We are quite independent with the tasks we need to do. Duy is very friendly and always invites me anytime he goes out for dinner or for a drink. His family is very nice too. There are 4 cats in the house. And I could do the tour with his company with a big discount.
