Dar Nomad is a fantastic place for a cultural exchange and to the hostel yourself in the local culture. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed. The hosts are incredibly kind and open to new ideas and feedback. The work is flexible, it does require initiative from volunteers to propose and carry out projects, which makes the experience even more rewarding. Thank you so much Hamza, Mohamed and Mobarak for the opportunity to be part of Dar Nomad! :)

The team at Dar Nomad were super friendly and made everyone feel part of the community. Hamza, Mubarak and the Mohameds were always smiling, teaching us Arabic while continuously improving their own English. The work schedule was relaxed and self-motivated but we also found a routine of helping to cook or clean for every meal. The bedding and bathroom arrangements are rather basic, as is the way in towns like the hostel. Overall, we are super glad to have experienced the hostel at Dar Nomad and would recommend it to others! NB: expect to pay for things like bottled water and Tuk Tuk rides.
