At the hostel, I found people who shared my same drive, desire to grow, and a great positive energy. I really enjoyed the evenings spent chatting on the terrace, the days shared with other guests and volunteers, and I loved the brightness and sense of peace the island gives off. The shifts are tough but fair, and thanks to the manager Mireja's flexibility, you can organize your time in the best way. I arrived alone, but I never felt alone during my stay :)

Volunteering at this surf hostel was a fantastic experience! From day one, we felt warmly welcomed by both the staff and guests, and we quickly felt part of the team. The hostel has an amazing atmosphere that's both relaxed and lively, making it easy to meet incredible people from all over the world. The work itself was well organised and fulfilling, with plenty of time to surf and explore in between. We learnt a lot, made lifelong friends and felt genuinely valued as part of the team. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a meaningful volunteering experience.

From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the hostel's perfect location next to the beach, social environment buzzing with energy, and the sense of community among volunteers from all over. Management was responsive and always open to suggestions. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, ensuring that everyone felt like part of the family. I left with a heart full of joy and a network of friends that spans the globe.

My experience at the Kite and Surf hostel is something I'll remember for the rest of my life, the environment is an amazing place for volunteers and travelers to hang out and get to know each other. My contribution here is certainly different than what most volunteers should expect because the building is undergoing a lot of renovation. I applied and helped with construction and painting. It was a bit chaotic at times with changes being made on short notice to the volunteers schedules but the wrinkles are getting smoothed out and I'm excited to see what the place will be like when it's done!
