I really loved my experience at NSH. Not only that the place is super nice, comfy and clean but the people were the best. Ezequiel really cares about everyones wellbeing and also the rest of the team was incredible. The same applies to the surfschool, everyone is very nice and I'm really grateful for my surfing experience. The work is absolutely manageable, organized and flexible if you ever need a certain time off. We had so many nice times together and as promised, the hostel does feel like a second home now and I cant wait to hopefully come back next year! Muchas gracias por todo. <3

My experience at the hostel has truly been the best since I started volunteering on Worldpackers and other platforms. The daily tasks are clear, simple, and well organized — you just follow the checklist and everything runs smoothly. Ezequiel is a five-star manager: flexible, understanding, and always ready to listen or help. The team feels like family, full of good vibes and laughter. And Asturias… the most magical part of Spain! Gijón is perfect for surfing, hiking, and reconnecting with yourself. I'd come back a thousand times!

My experience here has been amazing. Ezequiel is an awesome host, he will make your stay as comfortable as possible. He truly understands what it means to be a volunteer. He is always available and easy to talk to. Melody and Steven are nice and will help you always with a smile, it has been amazing this time with them. The tasks are simple and clear with a guide to always know what to do, no surprises. The hostel is beautiful, you'll always find a comfortable place to chill or focus. The location is excellent, quiet and close to beach and downtown. Unforgettable memories!

The most special thing for me was to really grow as angeoup and connect with the other volunteers. I can now say I am a buch of new friends richer! This was my second time volunteering in Gijón, and I immediately felt at home again. Just like during my first stay, the tasks and expectations were clearly communicated, making it easy to settle in. The work itself is straightforward and easy to learn, leaving plenty of time to enjoy everything Gijón has to offer. I had an amazing time with the team, going surfing and cycling and taking long walks along the beautiful coastline while exploring the nearby beaches. I'm already looking forward to my next visit, as this hostel and its people have earned a special place in my heart. <3

The hostel will always have a piece of my heart. I felt at home, Ezequiel is an amazing manager, the team of volunteers is big, cohesive and collaborative. I met so many people all around the world, could surf and do yoga for free, party but also relax when needed. Most of all, I created connections I will forever be grateful of. It was my first experience as a worldpackers and I couldn't have made a better choice. Hasta luego ❤️

I had an incredible experience at the hostel, it very quickly began to feel like home. The work was fair - exactly as described, and very well organised. The hostel itself is so cosy and has much more of a homely atmosphere than other hostels you'd typically find in Spain. Ezequiel goes above and beyond to make sure you're comfortable and have everything you need. The location is ideal, everything you need is within a 10 min walking distance (supermarket, beaches, parks). Overall amazing experience.

I spent two months as a volunteer, working in reception and cleaning, and I wholeheartedly recommend this experience. the hostel is beautiful, well-kept, and has a warm, modern vibe. The working hours are balanced and well organized, and the tasks are easy to learn. What I loved the most, however, is the atmosphere inside the hostel: I felt welcome from day one. The manager is always approachable and makes sure everyone has an unforgettable experience. I met wonderful people who will always have a special place in my heart. 🤍 Thank you, the hostel! 🙌🏼

My experience at the hostel in Gijón was fantastic. I had an amazing time with the other volunteers and guests, and the city itself is really cool. It's the perfect place if you want to surf, relax, have fun, and improve your language skills (especially Spanish). The management deserves a special mention—congratulations to the manager for running everything so smoothly. The tasks were clearly explained, easy to follow, and the working hours were always respected. Overall, it was a super fun and rewarding experience that I'd highly recommend!

I had a great month at the hostel! The team was amazing and the tasks were fair as agreed beforehand. Ezequiel the manager puts a lot of effort to make everyone feel comfortable. I think it's a very good deal getting surf classes and material for free. With the bikes you can explore the beautiful coastline around Gijón.
