Hello, my Name is Julia and I worked in the hostel for 1 1/2 months. The building of the hostel is very cool and you will have a lot of space to be. Everybody who is working here will give you tips what you should do here and where you have to go in Colombia. I got here with a spanish who was ok and I improved a lot so now it is good. I was here with a lot of other Voulenteerers and together we had a lot of fun. Everybody alway helped me with every question I had. Thanks a lot for my experience here.

I had a phenomenal experience with the hostel, 10/10 would recommend. The staff culture is really tight and the people are so great. I think it's different than other hostels because the (overwhelmingly international) guests are primarily just there for a day or two so you don't get to know them so well, but I think maybe because of that the staff is really tight-knit. Also virtually all of the staff is a volunteer, so I think that helps make connections. Reception work is really interesting and varied. Camilo is really respectful of your time and will give you the hours you want so you can travel :)

I was bartending in the hostel for a month and it definitely was one of the best months of my trip. I felt there like home, all the staff members are amazing people. It's one of the best hostels I've ever been to, the building is beautiful. Definitely recommend volunteering here, especially as a bartender!

A verdade é que o hostel é legal e super grande. A localização é um pouco perigosa porque fica no bairro La Candelaria. Eu achei que o trabalho são muitas horas e no caso da recepção, se você comente algum erro eles querem que você tire dinheiro do seu bolso pra pagar. Não curti muito s experiência no geral. Te veem como funcionário e não como voluntário.

Ana, gracias por tus comentarios, como bien lo sabes el hostal se encuentra en el centro histórico de Bogotá, donde llegan la mayoría de turistas, como cualquier ciudad grande hay que tomar prevenciones, pero eso no significa que la localización sea peligrosa. En cuanto a las horas, creemos que fuimos claros con las horas solicitadas antes de tu aplicación y siempre se respetaron las horas a intercambiar. A pesar de que la experiencia sea un voluntariado, tiene unas responsabilidades con las que se deben cumplir, entre esas que las cuentas y el dinero de recepción coincida con las operaciones ejecutadas, somos conscientes que al comienzo se pueden cometer errores que estamos dispuestos a asumir, pero ante la reincidencia, si debemos ser más estrictos.

Just surprised as how a month already passed by while learning all type of tasks and getting to know the neighborhood where the hostel is located. Would love to come back in a future. Thanks so much for the opportunity!!!
