The volunteer work is simple and based on trust, which removes pressure. However, the lack of follow-up and presence leads to disorganization, dirtiness, and some volunteers leaving tasks incomplete or undone. There is no formal induction: only a wall sheet lists tasks without explaining how they work, forcing volunteers to make mistakes to learn, causing a sense of abandonment. Despite Maja's kindness, more presence and clear induction are needed. The lack of supervision also caused a serious issue by ignoring a very sick volunteer.

I had to leave before because of some personal issues I talked over with Maja. The team at the hostel is great and always willing to give you a hand and to solve any questions when you need it, so I felt very supported in that regard :) Maja is very organized with the schedule, and the agreed hours were always respected and fair, and also, the tasks were very clear and easy. Basically, you have to treat the space as you'd do in your own home. The hostel is also in a good location, so it's easy to get to some attactions on your days off. Thank you for having me!

The hostel's location is perfect, right in the city center, so you can easily explore the city. The shifts are simple, and the host is flexible. The accommodations could be better, but they're still fine. Belgrade is an incredible city ❤️

Maja is a kind and good host. The night watchman Darko and the other volunteers were really welcoming. Beds are comfy and you have your own locker to put your belongings in. Sadly i had to leave early, but you can definitely come here.

The owner maja is a lovely lady, flexible and understanding. The task and the shifts are easy and you have plenty time to enjoy Belgrade. The city is pretty nice and the people is lovely In general a have great time here with the other volunteers and some guests. The night porter darko is a bit crazy but he is harmless and if you feel awkward you always can say to maja and she will manage it.

I thank Maja for making me feel welcomed since day 1. Tasks and shifts are easy to manage. Communication was good. There are more volunteers to guide you through. Good location. Free laundry is included. Overall a good experience I recommend to others. Thanks for everything! Hvala puno

I spent 3 months in the hostel and I am happy I did so. The hostel is located in a nice place, with all of the facilities near ( like food stores, bus stops, etc.). Working hours were respected and the job itself was manageable, even if seemed a bit confusing from the beginning. If you are ready to adjust quickly, try your flexibility with different circumstances, environment and people - you will enjoy this place:) P.S. this volunteering team was AMAZING. Home away from home❤️

I want to thank Maya for such a positive experience and a wonderful time at this hostel. This was my first time volunteering through Worldpackers, and I'm happy it turned out to be such a great experience. The work schedule was agreed upon in advance and always followed. A special thank you to my fellow volunteers—it was a pleasure working with you! The hostel is centrally located, with all necessary infrastructure within walking distance. Volunteers are provided with separate rooms, and the living conditions are very comfortable. Highly recommend! Hvala!
