Mon volontariat en juin s'est globalement bien passé. José et Federica, responsables, étaient très accueillants et disponibles. Les tâches étaient simples, souvent plus courtes que prévu : faire/défaire les lits ou accueillir les arrivées tardives. Les autres volontaires ont rendu l'expérience inoubliable. En revanche, le propriétaire semblait peu favorable aux volontaires, changeait les consignes fréquemment et ne nous mettait pas à l'aise. Partager la chambre avec une amie à lui fut aussi gênant. Malgré cela, je garde un très bon souvenir.

It was my first volunteering experience, it started off very well, the other volunteers were amazing and the tasks wear easy and clear, free time is respected and the hostel is in a great location to explore in your free time. Jose the manager and Fede are great, however the actions of the owners towards the volunteers at the end was unacceptable and made for a very uncomfortable environment. I hope they can change this for future volunteers to have a great time because everything else about working there was great.

As tarefas são fáceis e tranquilas de ser executadas, horários respeitados, se tem bastante tempo livre para desfrutar da cidade, a localização do hostel é muito boa, quarto dos voluntários é grande, os banheiros são pequenos e um pouco desconfortável. Agradeço a José, Federica e aos outros voluntários que fizeram com que pude ter momentos felizes e descontraídos, além de ter feito novas amizades, uma tristeza que a energia do Hostel tenha mudado negativamente com a presença do dono e sua família, queria ter estendido mas a forma que o dono trata algumas pessoas me fez preferir outro lugar.

It was a good experience that taught me a lot despite being short. I met some really nice people and learnt about their cultures. I appreciate the flexibility of the hostel manager and the help he gave me whenever I asked for it! The location is great and you'll have a lot of time to explore the vibrant city I fell in love with 🥹

Foi uma boa experiência apesar de ocorrer alguns desentendimentos no início do voluntariado, no qual só aconteceu por falta de esclarecimento de algumas regras vindo dos superiores mas, após o ocorrido tudo foi esclarecido. Há pontos que poderiam melhorar ou serem melhores esclarecidos aqui, como o café da manhã que só tem direito quem trabalhar neste horário/turno, o uso da lavanderia que poderia ser mais flexível e as duchas que são bem pequenas. A localização e o quarto feminino são ótimos. Terei boas recordações, conheci pessoas incríveis e tive momentos felizes, agradeço pela oportunidade

The hostel has a great location, and the volunteers were wonderful, but my experience was not as I had hoped. The manager was often disrespectful, yelling at the team and being passive-aggressive, which created an uncomfortable environment. Tasks were not clearly specified, and despite fulfilling all responsibilities, the manager was ungrateful, even saying 'thanks for nothing' when I informed him of my departure. I hope the management improves, as the attitude overshadowed the otherwise positive aspects of the stay.

We regret your experience didn’t meet expectations, but we must clarify some points. Ignoring rules, such as playing music at restricted times, disrupted operations and respect for others. Jose enforced these rules appropriately. Despite your early departure impacting schedules, we granted your request for a positive review. However, you used this to harm us unfairly with a negative comment. Our hostel values respect, teamwork, and communication, which were not upheld in this case.

No geral a experiência foi boa, muito pelos voluntários que foram incríveis. Quanto ao trabalho, não é difícil, mesmo que alguns turnos sejam mais trabalhosos, já o hostel fica muito bem localizado. Um dos problemas foi a mudança quanto ao café da manhã, que no meio do período retiraram. As regras do uso da lavanderia também poderiam ser mais flexíveis. Muitas normas só foram repassadas aos voluntários, depois de erros e momentos constrangedores. Mas pelo menos foram abertos a escutar o nosso ponto de vista. No fim, foi uma boa experiência para mim! Gracias por todo!

I had an amazing time volunteering! The team, the other volunteers, and the environment made this experience truly unforgettable. Everyone in hostel was kind and welcoming, which made me feel at home from the very beginning. The volunteers usually hang up together with the guest too, so you'll never feel alone. The location was fantastic, allowing me to explore the city. I cherished every moment and would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a rewarding experience.

The Hostel is a lovely place with an amazing rooftop terrace, where all of the volunteers hang most of the time together. I felt very welcome there and when I have problems or questions, they always were solved quickly. Also the tasks are really chill and easy. Gracias the hostel Team :-)

I believe that everything I write here won't be enough to describe how special the time I spent with everyone during this volunteering experience was. The team, the other volunteers, the city, everything was truly special. Everyone was so kind and lovely. I loved every moment.
