Programa detallado
This isn’t a typical volunteer job with fixed tasks. We’re looking for creative, chill people who just want to share something they’re good at or passionate about, and be part of the vibe here.
It could be painting a wall, fixing small things around the house, playing music in the evening, guiding a walk around town, teaching yoga or meditation, doing art, or anything else you love and think could be cool for the hostel or our guests. We’re really open to new ideas—if it comes from the heart, we’re into it.
We’re not looking for people to do reception or cleaning. Just people who want to do something fun, meaningful, or useful in exchange for a bed and being part of our little family here.
The hostel is mostly Israeli travelers, but also a good mix of other people. We’re in beautiful San Cristobal de las Casas, a town with a special energy. We often do Shabbat dinners, help at the hospital, and go out on nature tours—waterfalls, lakes, villages, all the amazing Chiapas spots.
If you’re a good vibe person and want to bring something of yourself to the space, we’d love to have you.
Actividades & Turnos
There’s no strict schedule here—it really depends on what you’re offering and how it fits into the hostel life. We usually ask for around 3–4 hours a day, 5 days a week, but it’s flexible and can change depending on the activity.
Reglas
We want everyone to feel at home here, and for that to happen, we all gotta respect each other and the space. Here are a few simple things we ask:
Be respectful – to guests, staff, other volunteers, and the space. This is a chill place and we want to keep the energy peaceful and positive.
Be responsible – if you commit to something (like an activity or a project), please follow through. We’re super flexible, but we need some flow and trust.
Keep common areas tidy – you’re not expected to clean the hostel, but we do expect everyone to clean up after themselves.
Be present – this isn’t a “free stay” situation. We want to feel your energy in the space. Even small things you do with love make a big difference.
Ask and communicate – if something doesn’t feel right or you have an idea—talk to us! We’re super open and want this to be a two-way thing.
Stay sober during your activities – if you're leading something or working on a project, just be in your clear self. After hours is chill, but during activities we keep it respectful.
