The home is an absolutely awesome host; she will take your needs into account, give you lots of insight about Palermo (Sicily in general) and make you feel truly immersed in the local culture. Additionally, If you're trying to practice your Italian, this is a great work exchange for it. The program isn't structured very clearly so I often didn't know what to expect. From my experience the home often just embraces living day by day. It's thus good to be flexible and openminded. If you are though, it will pay off.

I had the pleasure of staying with Alessandra during my first Worldpackers experience, and I couldn't have asked for a better introduction to this kind of travel. Her hospitality was truly fantastic—warm, generous, and always thoughtful. Alessandra also has a deep knowledge of Sicilian history and culture, which she shares with such passion and clarity. Staying with Alessandra was fantastic! She was always attentive, making sure I experienced Palermo in the best way possible. She gave me plenty of tips on places to visit and shared many stories about them! The work was pleasant and very flexible. I truly recommend her highly!
