Ser voluntaria en el hostel fue una experiencia agridulce. El staff es magnífico, fue un verdadero honor compartir con ellos, sin embargo, quedé insatisfecha con lo prometido en la aplicación y lo recibido. El cuarto destinado para voluntarios carecía de comodidades como suficientes enchufes para cargar dispositivos, luces, o ventiladores. A pesar de expresar que el desayuno era insuficiente (pan con mermelada y 1 cafe o te) no se tomó en cuenta una mejora, solo podíamos comer bien cuando había bufete para los huéspedes. Se siente más como un trabajo sin paga que un voluntariado.

Hello Maria - I did explain everything thoroughly to you before you came and I am sorry that we did not live up to your expectations. The cost of your accommodation over peak season FAR outweighs what we would have paid a staff member to work 4 shifts a week. Nevertheless, you seemed to enjoy your time in Cape Town.

I can't explain how grateful I am with Lisa and all the team for my experience at the hostel. The work is easy and everybody is there to help you with anything you need. They all make you feel at home and share their love and advices with you. Also the hostel is very beautiful, as all Cape Town, and you get to create very good connections, also with the guests. I am so sad that my experience there is over but, at the same time, so happy for all i've lived there. Don't miss your chance to volunteer at the hostel!!! <3

This opportunity was one of the best things I've ever done. The staff helped you fit right in and explained all the roles perfectly. The hostel itself is amazing, the community around it is even better. I would highly recommend this place!

The hostel and Cape Town will always have a special place in my heart. This place became a real home to me and I'm so grateful I got to experience all of it. Big thanks to all the beautiful people -volunteers, staff, guests- that I got to meet and spend so much fun time with. I am leaving with nothing but a deep sense of connection and the happiest memories which I know I will cherish forever.

Volunteering at the hostel in Cape Town was a truly rewarding and enriching experience. I had the opportunity to work both as a receptionist and a bartender, which allowed me to develop valuable skills while engaging with travelers from all over the world. From day one, the staff at the hostel were incredibly welcoming and supportive. The team created a positive, inclusive atmosphere that made it easy to settle in and feel like part of the family. Whether it was helping guests at the front desk or serving drinks at the bar, there was always a strong sense of teamwork and mutual respect.♥️

Cape Town is one of the most beautiful cities i've ever been and the hostel is just in its center. The work was easy, staff and other volunteers were very helpful and friendly, there was also plenty of time to visit surrounding places. I'd definitely recommend the hostel to whoever wants to visit South Africa!

I had such a good time at the hostel I stayed on volunteering for an extra month! The staff are friendly and always ready to explain things or help you, which makes it a great environment to learn new skills. The hostel location is great, you can easily and safely walk to shops, cafes, restaurants, bars, and more. The environment at the hostel is super friendly and chill, so it's a good place to come if you want to be sociable but like getting your sleep too! This was my first volunteering experience and I couldn't have asked for a better one, I'd definitely recommend! :)
