A really nice experience volunteering at the hostel! My role was to manage a rooftop bar, from keeping stock count to socialising with guests and making it a warm environment. A few hours a day in exchange for a lovely place to stay. The area is stunning and will deffo try and come and back. Until next time !

When I arrived nobody was expecting me, and the guy at the reception didn't try to help me, just told me there were no volunteers there (there were multiple other volunteers at the time). After an hour of waiting things got sorted out, but my whole experience was kind of simular; no one really told me what exactly I was supposed to do, and just generally everything was terrible disorganized. It's like they want volunteers to work there, but they don't have the time/people to actually explain them what they need to do. There where times when I was told to work at a bar, and thats it, no explan

While I was there, I mostly designed flyers etc. for their new hotel. The reception desk was very easy to work at, and it wasn't crowded because it was low season. They have a rooftop with a beautiful view, it was nice to spend time there.

Thank you so much Linda and Alice for having me! I had a wonderful time ❤️ the hostel is a super nice place, has a beautiful rooftop, everything is pretty comfy, I feel at home for the first day, the hours are respected, the shifts are easy and fun, the staff and my fellows volunteers were super friendly and nice to be around, the food is simple but good, I'm going to miss you guys! I recommend 100% doing this voluntary job! 🤗❤️

Linda has a huge heart, so caring. The hostel is really nice, when I was there there was not many people because of low season so was very quiet. So grateful for the experience 🩷

I enjoyed my time volunteering at the hostel on the reception, the host Linda and her daughter Alice were very kind, as were the other staff. The accommodation at the hostel was also pretty comfortable.

Breakfast was poor, diner was ok, room and bed were fine, toilet was often smelly, discount on drinks was only on alcohol or soda, discounts on tours were not described and not interesting. Pictures are not fully representative of hostel. Linda does not providence any organisation. When I arrived i feel like I was not expected. There was no tour of hostel, no presentation to staff and other volunteers. Training is very light and sporadic. During the day, volunteers are alone, some are left demotivated without tasks. And i left before because i feel some guests were not well treated, one cried.

I had a very comfortable stay at the hostel. Although a bit chaotic, the work is really nice and you get enough time to do things you like. Vang Vieng is a beautiful place to stay but not for too long.

The hostel was a comfortable place to stay. Vang Vieng is a very beautiful town with the hot air balloons appearing every morning and afternoon. The work was confusing and things change a lot as the hostel is very new. I would recommend going for the receptionist role to have more clearly defined work. Linda and Alice are very friendly and good people however the rest of the family is rude and not easy to get along with but you don't see them much. Four weeks is a bit too long to stay in Vang Vieng, if you take it slow you can do everything there is to do in two weeks. I had a great stay.
