Zwolle and the country itself is a great place, easy to get around. My stay at the hostel was good, not much socialing between workers and volunteers, but may have some here and there. The facilities in general is good, and location is great, everything is near by. I think is a good place if you are looking to know more about the Dutch culture and something a bit more relaxing, with some occasional fun.

I loved it!! If I have the chance to come back, I will. The work is very enjoyable, they treat you like one of their own, the team there has a great vibe, and they organize some activities for the volunteers. I feel grateful to live this experience 💓 thnk uu to make me part of this🫶🏻

I really loved volunteering at this hostel. The working hours are fair and you have more than enough free time to explore Zwolle and the Netherlands. Both the hostel and the hostel are really cozy and in a great location, Zwolle is a pretty city! What really makes the experience here are the people, everyone i met during my stay has been so welcoming and nice, you can see they really care about the volunteers having a good time🥰 I am really grateful for this experience, I will definitely be back! P.S. The food is amazing!!

I had an amazing time volunteering at the hostel. Everyone who works there and at Bennies is incredibly kind, and I felt welcomed from day one. The shifts are fair, and everything you have to do is clear and well explained. The environment is relaxed, and Zwolle is such a charming city. I met a lot of friendly and cool people, and I had so much fun. During my days off, I had all the time I needed to visit other beautiful Dutch cities. I would 100% recommend it... I'll be back in Zwolle someday! :)

I had a lovely time volunteering here. All the staff at the hostel and the local staff at the restaurant are incredibly welcoming and help you get adjusted. Expectations were clearly communicated, the schedule was good, and the food was great!

Have loved my time at the hostel. Not only was it an opportunity to connect with the local culture, but I now have friends from all over the world! Rowan and Anuška are incredible hosts - flexible, adaptable, friendly and dedicated to our wellbeing. The food we have at Bennie's never disappoints and the staff downstairs are always keen for a drink and chat so long as you are willing to engage! The room is spacious, beds comfy and location of the hostel is amazing. I will be coming back ;)

Volunteering at hostel Debasis in Zwolle was honestly such a great experience! From day one I felt super welcomed and connected right away with the people there. Everyone is incredibly friendly, always around to help you out with anything you need. Also I have connected a lot with the other volunteers from differents parts of the world and we have been such an amazing team! I only have good words for describing this experience, I would recommend it to anyone. I will come back soon! Albert :)

It was an incredible experience in which i learned a lot because not only do you get to work but you also get to know holland and its people in depth. All the people who work there are very nice and they always treated me great and i got to know the other volunteers very well. It is an experience that i would definitely repeat and that i recommend to everybody.

My experience at Bennies & the hostel has honestly been one of the best I've had as a volunteer so far. Doing the night shift definitely came with its own challenges and things to learn, like any new experience, but it all felt smooth and friendly thanks to the amazing team — open, fun, responsible, kind, communicative, and always proactive. Always ready to help out with anything. On top of enjoying my time as a volunteer here, I'm leaving not only with great coworkers, but with real friends. I had a wonderful time here. The work was simple, and the times were clearly agreed upon. I had enough time to explore the city and the country, and if the schedule didn't work out, requests were dealt with immediately and as best as possible. The hostel also had a great location—it was only a short walk to the city center, as well as to more quiet spots. The staff team were all really nice and open-minded. You could feel that everyone enjoyed working with volunteers. It was a fantastic experience that I can definitely recommend.
