I volunteered here from 06/02/2025 to 07/20/2025 and had a great experience. My tasks included cleaning and organizing the camping area and the beach bar, always with clear instructions and a calm work environment. The campsite is just a 5-minute walk from the sea and the beach bar. Thank you for the stay and the opportunity — I would definitely come back!

A nice experience in a place with stunning, paradise beaches, despite some challenges related to accomodation and comfort that came up along the way and gazi was able to fix.

It didn't work for me and we had to leave earlier than expected. The beach is nice but the location is terrible if the goal is to explore other places in Albania… and the feeling of being stuck in one place is not good. The food offered by the host was scarce, without the necessary proteins for nutrition and I was left hungry sometimes. The beach cleaning work is very gruelling and doesn't worth for what is offered in this experience.

Sorry to say brenna. You didn’t decide to leave before you expected you decide to leave today for today. Which i dont know what should we discuss anymore when you have already decide. Everything is written in the wp(location). Desipite everything you had only once job all day. Starting from 19:30 to 20:00. Just to clean the beach 30 min. And this give you the oportuinity to visit other cities or village around all day long. But your request is that i drive you to the bus station. I

I found Cikas camping to be isolating and a boring place. I left early because I didn't do enough research into this opportunity before agreeing to it. Which I believe to be the ultimate reason I left early. However there were also a few things that went communicated. Such as there are no guest, or any transport to explore the surrounding places. Borsh is a very small town with not much to do or any ways to do day trips other than hitchhiking. Socially was isolating as the other volunteers worked a lot more so time off never aligned . I think this place would be better for couple or groups

I would like to thank everyone at the camping's for the almost 2 months together in this fantastic experience.( Gazi, Enea, Patrick, thank you) It was a transformative experience. I was able to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the place as well as a fantastic cultural immersion in Albania. Being able to volunteer at the camping's was truly rewarding, I was able to learn more about the local cuisine and also about Albanian culture. The place is super welcoming and makes you feel like part of a big family. I made friends for life. Volunteering here was one of the best experiences I've ever had.

My time at çika's Camping was definitely one of the best experiences of my life, they (Gazi and his Aunt) welcomed me very well and they were very kind to me. And they also have a dog named seved that he is sooooo cute. I highly recommend it if you like to be surrounded by nature, mountains and you like the beach. The tasks were simple and they had a lot of flexibility when doing the tasks, once the work is done we also had a lot of free time to enjoy the place and do other types of activities.! The place is amaizing! The vibes are so cool. And if its possible i will return next year!! 😁

I arrived at cikas camping and was met by the two most friendly people I have had the pleasure to meet and an Albanian beer. Nexhi and Gazi made me feel at home for a whole month and made it hard to leave because I really didn't want to. I didn't expect to leave having met two people that I care for so deeply. I couldn't recommend this experience enough, especially if you love mountains, beaches, making new friends and eating amazing home cooked local food. I'll be returning again as a local and a friend!

Our stay at “Çikas Camping” was amazing! We had three weeks fully connected with nature and we spent most of our days working at the beach. Gazi and his auntie are warm and friendly people who will treat you as family. Gazi has a beautiful project in the camping and at the beach bar. Both places have been created to offer guests and volunteers a chill time to relax and get along. So if you enjoy the beach, talking to people, being proactive and camping life, this is the right voluntary work for you! I really hope we can come back next year to keep enjoying camping life at “Çikas” ♥️
