Incredible experience in a really nice hostel, marcelo makes you feel as home and the place of carapica is amazing. Beach, nature and lots of travellers joining together for a great adventure! For sure the best volunteering you can find, marcelo the best host and the hostel a lovely and peacefull place!

I need more than 600 characters to describe 4 months in which I felt relaxed, at peace and happy. Marcelo is the best host you could ask for. He is an incredible person, always attentive, relaxed, funny, with common sense, loving. If this Hostel is so special, is in large part because of him who cares about making everyone feel at home. Caparica it's a place where nobody runs and where you can enjoy the simplicity and little things, surrounded by nature. The hostel it's something uniquel, people always want to extend their bookings or come back soon. It's the perfect pleace to learn surf!

The hostel was an amazing first-time volunteering experience. The tasks were as described (although a little more than might be expected of you at some hostels it was very manageable and clearly set out) and fairly distributed. Marcelo is kind and communicative and available if you ever need anything. I had so much fun with the other volunteers and the general energy of the hostel was really positive and friendly. Being able to use bikes and surf equipment for free was also good as it gave us access to the area without having to stress. I will treasure the time I spent here

I had a fantastic experience at the hostel. Everyone was very welcoming and I loved the relaxed atmosphere. I did feel the volunteers had a lot of responsibility as we were the only staff and we felt a bit undervalued at times for our work. Other than this I have no complaints and would definitely recommend this experience for anyone wanting to relax around good people and beautiful nature!

Volunteering at the hostel has been an incredible experience! I had the chance to meet many people while traveling in Costa de Caparica. The staff at the hostel is very easy going and the tasks are well described, so I would definitely recommend coming to the hostel either as a guest or a volunteer, it feels quite as home

Minha experiência era para ajudar na recepção, limpeza e HouseKeeping. Contudo, o anfitrião me pediu para lixar, pintar cadeiras, mesas e paredes sem equipamento de segurança, luvas, óculos de proteção ou roupas, sozinho durante todo voluntariado. Acabei estragando minhas roupas e essa não era a experiência esperada. O lugar era lindo, perto da praia e tinha pranchas pra surfar o que foi a única coisa boa da experiência. Evitei qualquer voluntariado que envolvesse obras ou manutenção pois queria ter mais contato com pessoas para praticar idiomas.

Lamentável para nós ler um comentário deste.
Fomos claros nas mensagens anteriores (infelizmente não foi possivel postar aqui) que o hostel ainda estava fechado e que precisaríamos de ajuda nos preparativos de reabertura. Tínhamos varias tarefas distintas a serem feitas, e antes de delegar qualquer função para o João, perguntei se ele tinha experiência com pintura. A resposta que recebi foi um sim, porque ele também já teve um alojamento. Nesse momento, poderia ter dito que não queria essa função. E foi avisado sim que, qualquer material que ele precisasse, era só pedir que seria disponibilizado. Então você sujou sua roupa e fez serviço que não queria por falta de comunicação sua. Tínhamos material para fornecer.
Poderia muito bem ter pedido para trocar de função, mas preferiu sair antes do prazo, mostrando nenhum comprometimento.

Lugar maravilhoso com pessoas maravilhosas. Não tem outra forma de descrever🥰 O hostel é perto de tudo na costa e tem uma vibe contagiante. Um ótimo lugar para se conectar com pessoas e com a natureza. Indico mil vezes 💕
