It was a very good experience, I felt very welcomed, and after I became closer with the children, the classes got better. The place is really nice — a big garden, a pool, bikes, and it's very close to Aranjuez. To get to Madrid, it was about 15 minutes by bike plus 1 hour by train. The classes with the kids were fun, and the time we spent gardening was interesting, though a bit tiring. The parents were very helpful. A few times we had some communication difficulties and felt a bit of rudeness, but overall, the experience was really great.

The Keppeln family are really nice and kind people, very respectful and correct. They were able to accommodate some changes to the schedule so I can feel more comfortable. The kids are amazing and working with them was a lot of fun, they are so well- educated, well- behaved and sociable, I am really glad I got to know them. It was my first experience as a volunteer and I was very stressed about doing a good job, it was bit hard for me to grasp what I need to do and there were some miscommunications. It was really hard to get to Madrid as the station is around 30 minutes away from the house.

Thank you for your time and effort volunteering with our family. We understand that your first experience can be overwhelming, and we appreciate your dedication. However, we would have preferred more communication, especially about your availability, as it was difficult to coordinate plans. We also value family moments like lunch together and would have loved for you to join us more. We hope you still found the experience valuable and wish you the best in your future volunteering endeavors.

Anca and Joseph, the hosts, were genuinely great! We were welcome to eat anything from the kitchen and we could ask for groceries. I felt very welcomed by the family and it really does immerse you in local culture. They have bikes that you can take into town or to the train station which was super helpful. If you're coming in the summer, know that they don't have a/c and it does get quite hot. But they have an amazing large pool. For the actual camp/work, it was exactly like described. And the kids were so cute! You definitely stay busy while working so it goes by super fast.

Chloe,

Many thanks for all your help in cleaning, cooking and assisting with the camp with the kids. Our own kids were very happy to be with you working with the clay figures, drawing and eating meals together. We did have several heat wave days in Madrid and our AC which we do have was not working as it needs to be serviced. Hopefully the pool dips and BBQ kept you cool and I hope to Camino de Santiago walk with your Dad went well.

We had an amazing time volunteering in Aranjuez. The host family was amazing and so were the kids. The work was very fun to do and you have a lot of freedom and free hours. The place is beautiful and the house is also amazing. No complaints at all i would love to come back again and i recommend this place to everyone.

My first volunteering experience was at Finca de the farm and it couldn't have been better. Joseph and Anca are such good hosts and their kids are adorable. All the people that I met there were very nice and we had an amazing time together. The place is really nice and the village is very pretty. Also it is easy to go and come back from Madrid, especially as you can use the bikes. I am very grateful to Joseph, Anca and all other people that I met during my stay. I really recommend volunteering there!

Volunteering at the farm was my first Worldpackers experience, and it exceeded my expectations. The finca is in the outskirts of a charming, historic town in the south of Madrid. I was surrounded by nature, but the city center is easily accessible. The tasks were easy to follow and sensible, and I was able to learn new skills along the way. I was given the facilities and tools I needed in order to work efficiently, and working + spending time with the family was always such a joy. Very grateful to Anca and Joseph for this extraordinary opportunity! I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

As a first time Worldpackers traveler I felt nervous, but thanks to the support and care of Joseph and Anca I had the best experience! The house itself is beautiful and well taken care of, everything is organized and the environment is expressively sustainable, it is located in a marvelous city, Aranjuez, close to Madrid and comfortable to live. The family is so loving and welcoming and I felt very fortunate to be hosted by such kind people. The work is fun and fairly organized, it felt great to contribute and enjoy as part of the household! Recomiendo encarecidamente este voluntariado!
