Estoy muy agradecido por mi experiencia con la escuela. Esteban y su familia fueron muy acogedores y me hicieron sentir realmente bien recibido. Las actividades en la escuela son tranquilas, los estudiantes son carismáticos y se esfuerzan por aprender. Los horarios de trabajo se respetan y el departamento para los voluntarios tiene todo lo necesario. No puedo dejar de mencionar y agradecer a Nancita por su comida maravillosa. Recomiendo este voluntariado y espero volver a verlos algún día.

Fue mi primera experiencia en worldpackers y de verdad me encantó!! El apartamento para los voluntarios es grande, moderno y justo al lado de la escuela. El trabajo fue muy interesante y el equipo super amable! Los anfitriones Tami y su hijo Esteban son geniales. Eran super cariñosos y siempre muy pendientes conmigo. El fin de semana pude conocer a unos amigos de estaban también lo que me gustó mucho. Estoy emocionado a encontrarme con ellos otra vez algún día! Hasta pronto

Esteban, his mother, plus all the staff at the school were extremely welcoming and made me feel right at home. The students are of all ages and were curious and motivated to improve their English and have interesting conversations. This was a great way to get a feel of Ecuadorian culture as well being situated in a more local neighborhood of Quito, and getting plenty of opportunities to practice Spanish. The daily lunch at home was also excellent. Highly recommend this opportunity!

I had an amazing and illuminating time at SALC. Tamy and Esteban were amazing hosts— thoughtful, kind, and generous. I got sick and they were super accommodating. They are incredibly welcoming and made me feel like family right away. And Nancy made the most delicious meals that made me feel right at home!! I learned so much from the kids and staff at SALC and feel like I made a real difference. This was a special experience I am eternally grateful for and will never forget!! Thank you everyone at SALC <3

My experience at SALC was one that has deeply impacted me and has made me realize I love teaching! I learned so much about myself through working with the students and watching their language skills improve every week. My first day I was worried this might not be for me and by last day I was emotional about leaving 🩷 thank to Tammy, Esteban and Nancy for the warm welcome and embrace into their family! The accommodation and food was great! I miss the school everyday and hope to return one day !

This is my first time out of the United States and first time volunteering, I felt very welcomed from the beginning even though Spanish is very poor that was not an issue since they needed me to be an English tutor with students, I am a beginner level in Spanish it was very helpful for me to be around Spanish speakers everyday to increase my knowledge. The accommodation was very nice, apartment in walking distance from school. The meals that Nancita cooked everyday were amazing, I felt blessed to eat a family meal with everyone and talk about our experiences. Thank you to estaban and Tammy!!

I had a great time volunteering at SALC with the Sevilla family! It was my first Worldpackers volunteering experience and I could not have asked for a better place. The students were lovely and eager to learn, the daily amount of work was just enough, the apartment was nice, well equipment and the daily lunches very tasty! I really enjoyed teaching and getting to know local people who were eager to share their culture and life stories with me. I would definitely recommended if for anyone who wants to get to know Ecuador a bit better :). Thank you for a lovely experience Tamy and Esteban!

I had an amazing experience teaching English at SALC! Esteban's family were all so kind and welcoming- they went out of their way to make my stay special and give me plenty of opportunities to practice Spanish in a friendly environment. The living quarters were spacious and comfortable. The hosts were thoughtful about accommodating my dietary restrictions and I was provided with healthy, filling meals. I absolutely loved teaching at the institute! Thanks to the students and the hosts, I got to learn a lot about Ecuador and meet so many great people. I highly recommend this experience!

I had an amazing time staying here. It's a great project where u can make yourself very useful. The work isn't difficult at all and u get eased into it. The house provided for the volunteers is very clean and well equipped. Both Esteban and his mother Tami are wonderful people, I spent a few of my first days very sick, and they took great care of me, for which I'm very grateful! I would recommend this project to everyone who is outgoing, likes to talk and loves being around people!

I had a wonderful experience here. Esteban and his mom are amazing people who welcomed me with open arms from the very first day. One day I got sick, and Tamy kindly made me some food, which was very sweet and exactly what I needed. I truly appreciated every day I spent here. The house is incredibly comfortable, and I had so many fun moments with the students. I also learned a lot during my stay.
