The experience at Hostal Backpackers Oruro was great. Florencio was mostly out during the week, but he always made himself present and called us to make us feel welcome. He also oriented other volunteers to support us during his absence. During the weekends, he would come and help with the shores and share moments - and meals- together. The activities are simple and the hours are respected. Florencio is a superhost - he took us visiting and recommended good places and activities to do.

My experience in Oruro was for only for a week. But that week was very enjoyable. Florencio was very communicative and helpful, as well as very kind. He called to make sure we settled ok and we had lunch together which he bought something's for us to use. The work was very simple and straightforward. All you have to do is clean the bathrooms and common areas as well as rooms when guests check out. Overall we had a good time and would definitely recommend again.

We didn't stay long but we had a really great time during our week here. Florencio is super nice and always available to help. The hours are pretty flexible and the work is easy.

The hostel work is very simple and easy! Florencio and his family are very welcoming and helpful, and even cooked us dinner sometimes! Lots of volunteers here so meet some really great people too!

Overall the volunteering experience was good, met some great people from it and the tasks were straight forward and easy to do. Florencio and his family are very welcoming and helpful. We had some great food cooked by the family also.

Florencio was a great host although he's only around on the weekends. His brother Carlos manages the hostel during the week. The hostel is not far from the centre of town & very close to the local market. The position is very chilled and easy. The hostel is not the cleanest and could do with some TLC and stocking more cleaning materials and products. The toilets smell of waste due to the toilet paper being thrown in a bin and no ventilation. My favourite thing about the hostel is the hostel cat " Walter White" who is super cute. I would recommend Backpackers Oruro to other volunteers.

P. Positivos: comunicação fácil e rápida com o dono; quarto dos voluntários; água quente; trabalho tranquilo (fiquei no café da manhã). P. Negativos: horário de trabalho não é respeitado, pede fazer check in qualquer hora do dia se estivermos na casa; disse que tinha bike e lavanderia gratuita, mas não tem; o pai do dono que está morando lá é um grosso e não perde a oportunidade de encher o saco;

The host wasn't there when we arrived but his sister opened the door for us...we came really late so we were grateful that they welcomed us even late at night. We got a whole room to ourselves which after weeks of moving felt like home. The task we had was to paint one mural. Since I am really into painting I painted 3 and some furniture which was warmly welcome by the host. There was no food provided by the host except for rice, pasta, oats and oil but Florencio came visit on the weekend and made a big luch for all of us on Saturday:)

Ficamos 10 días lá com minha enamorada. A experiência foi muito gratificante, Florencio respeitou nossos dias de folga e as tareas são simples. O primer domingo, ele preparou comida local muito legal (acho que o nome era Charquekan) Além disso, trabalhamos a distância então precisamos de WiFi e a rede sempre foi ótima. Na chegada Florencio falou para nós que agora seria nossa casa pelos próximos dias e assim sentimo-nos. Muito obrigado pelo hospedagem e a hospitalidade Achamos nossa família fora de casa.

Thanks for all, Florencio! You're an incredible person, very active and with many new ideas to do in the hostel. We have a great time sharing with people of all around the World and knowing more about the culture of this country. The work was easy to do and we enjoy it so much! Everything was excellent! We are expecting to come again someday!
