I had a really great experience, mostly because i met so many lovley people.But the communication with isabella isnt great, and thers no one that takes care or really welcomes the volonteers.You will have to work without any real training.The planning wasnt great since it sometimes was over staffed and sometimes very under staffed, so i feel bad for the part time workers, they dont get enough credit for the work they have to do.And a lot of things changed in the application since i arrived, i was promised not to have to do certain things and also promised certain things that later changed. x

My time there was amazing! I really enjoyed it. I made some great friends! I did have some communication problems regarding my arrival and departure date tho. The job itself was quite good. You are behind the bar and in the kitchen and some basic cleaning in that area. The job can be really fun on one hand, but it can also be tiring. All in all, I really recommend this volunteer position. I already miss everything and everyone and want to go back every single day since I left.

The hostel was a very interesting experience. You might have a difficult first week, but once you start meeting and connecting with the people around you, including volunteers and employees, you'll have a hard time leaving. Work hours are respected and you get what it's advertised. The work is not difficult if you're not a lazy person :). It's also a great place to have fun as there's a party/event on every night. My friend and I have met wonderful people which I think is all that matters to have a great time. Rooms can be improved, but it also depends on the volunteers to keep them clean.

I loved my time at the hostel overall! Facility for volunteers should be definitely improved, aswell as some organisational stuff, but the team/volunteers and staff I was able to get to know will forever have a place in my heart. I would do it again !! See ya the hostel ✌🏼🫶🏼

The hostel was an absolute blast to work/live at! The staff and volunteers there are absolutely amazing, and I can absolutely vouch for volunteering here. The work was chill and rewarding, the venue was in a good location, and there's a real sense of community there. That being said, management were a bit questionable at times, scheduling people on for longer shifts without their prior notice or consent, not communicating effectively with staff and volunteers, and at times being quite dismissive. Didn't ruin the experience for me personally, but worth knowing about

I travelled together with Amélie and can only underline her review. The other volunteers and the staff were nice. The tasks were manageable and the living conditions were good. However, I had to change rooms two times, but this was due to our very last minute stay there.

Due to a last minute application we sadly only stayed for ten days. Our experience was great - the staff was kind, the hostel has a central location and the other volunteers were very friendly. The work was interesting and you get a good insight into the environment of a hostel in general and especially the kitchen and bar. Some tasks can be exhausting but concerning you only work four hours a day it was manageable.

I really, really enjoyed my stay, everyone was extremely kind and supportive, althought there werent many actual volunteers for a bit, I loved to talk with staff and clients alike, the city is great, althought a bit expencive, there's always something to do, the kitchen is always usable, you just need to ask, there's not an actual training for the new ones, but you'll learn more and more every day thanks to the kind staff.

I really liked the experience at the hostel. The hostel is pretty nice and in a central area of the city. It has a lot of people from everywhere and at night has karaoke and people from the city, so not just guests.. and the night is till 5am! So yeah it's a good place to visit and to stay in. The problem was that only the bed in the shared room was offered, and I think that the help we gave was actually real (serving beers, drinks, coffee, breakfast and selling them), that's why I decided to leave before my agreed date. By the way if it's not a long term stay I recommend ❤️😊

What makes this volunteering experience nice is the other staff members, that are really nice. Also working in a bar, once you know how things work, is really cool. But there were things that bothered me and that I think should be improved. The manager, Isabella, was not really there and if so, she was not really friendly nor welcoming. That means communication was lacking. Also the facilities in the hostel are not the best. You don't get free food or anything besides a place to sleep, which is not enough compared to how much volunteers give. For a longer stay, a kitchen is missing.

Hello Eva, Im sorry to hear that you dont think Im friendly. I am here every day ( except weekends ) and everyone is always welcome to come see me or talk to me at any time. I am very busy, yes, but we have many other staff and managers there is there to help you or welcome you.

For the food, we already state we don't do that in the application, so im sorry you expected this. We do sometimes to joint dinners ect that you are welcome to join.
