An incredible and unforgettable experience with Yat, the kids/students, khmer teachers and the local family. I recommend this the school at 100%. The students are so smiling, and their eagerness to learn English is indescribable. They are all very endearing, and you don't want to leave after that… We also did paintings for the clean water project construction. We have a lot of free times and you can spend beautiful moments with the family.

I didn't expect to enjoy my time with the local community and host family as much as I did. Every moment was wonderful—sharing homemade meals daily, dancing, and having fun together. The host family was incredibly kind and always ready to help, making me feel like I was part of their own family. The students were lovely, and I had such a great time teaching English and playing with the kids. It was truly a memorable experience. If given the chance, I would absolutely love to return in the future. Plus, the internet worked perfectly, which was a nice bonus. I highly recommend this experience

We had such an amazing time at Mr Yat's school! ACCF really tries to make a difference and helps kids to improve their English. It felt like we genuinely contributed to this goal. Besides teaching, we could also help with maintaining the school property or shooting social media content 💪🏻 Mr. Yat showed us around the area and took us to local festivities. We felt like a appreciated part of the community. Also, Mama Orn's house felt like home. She and her family are the most kind-hearted people 🫶🏻 and also the cooking is fantastic! We hope to come back one day!!!

My week as a volunteer was an absolutely unforgettable experience! I had the opportunity to teach English to young children while immersing myself in a new culture. It was incredibly fulfilling to give something back and witness how eager and enthusiastic the kids were to learn. Their energy and curiosity were truly inspiring! Yat and his family are such nice and fun people and their dedication to the community and their warm-hearted nature are truly remarkable. I really recommend this volunteering program, it was a wonderful way to help the Kids and learn myself in return. Thank you !!

It's been an incredible experience. The family is very welcoming and super nice. We are very comfortable with a very comfortable room and delicious meals. The school is right next door, 5 minutes by bike. The English teacher's job at the school is great, the kids are so cute and eager to learn. We realize that this project really does have a social impact, and that's really interesting. I highly recommend you join this mission, you'll have fun and you'll remember it for life. Thank you Yat 🌟🌟

I was hoping to make a meaningful contribution to English education for local children but the experience was challenging due to a fundamental lack of structure and oversight. There was no orientation, no introduction to students or teachers, no discussion regarding curriculum, learning objectives, or learning needs of the children. Volunteers were left to navigate the experience independently, selecting a classroom at random and teaching whatever they deemed appropriate, without any input from the school to inform lesson planning.

I’m so sad to hear from you that you just come to my school only 10nm for two days then you leave with all structure and volunteer information that I have sent to you by WhatsApp. I recommend you if you apply to other organizations that you should stay at less a week and you can learn from each other without misunderstanding from organization. It seems you are wishing to stay in modern school with perfect structure. This is not for help.

Volunteering at ACCF was a deeply transformative experience that touched my heart in ways I never imagined. Immersed in the challenging reality of rural the school, I witnessed resilience and joy of children who, despite limited resources, embraced every opportunity to learn and grow. Teaching at the school was so fantastic and enjoyable and I saw how even the smallest efforts could create a lasting impact. Living at the homestay with Yat and his family I could fell me in a real family that gave me a sense of belonging and purpose. Yat has a deep love and sincerity to the school.

I definitely recommend this experience to anyone who loves working with kids and wants to give something back to the community. Yat and his family are so kind and welcoming and treated all volunteers like family. Yat also organizes a tour around the village and there are other activities to do like Angkor Wat and the Floating village. Amazing experience!

I felt welcome from the moment I arrived! The family were I stayed is lovely and the food was very nice! The private room is really nice and clean! At the school the children are eager to learn and so so sweet! You need to prepare some lessons before hand. Also you need to be flexible, because sometimes you need to teach different classes. Yat was always very helpful and kind. I really loved this experience and I am going to miss everyone!
