Programa detallado
MBC has been working with local community members for many years, converting previous poachers to put down their hunting equipment and turn to more sustainable livelihoods. Through our community and education work we have been able to make a huge difference.
Now we are growing our project through our school activities as well as our community growing and reforestation project on our project site. We want our site to become a community hub where people can come and learn, eat and share.
Actividades & Turnos
You will be directly involved with the work on our land, helping to create and maintain growing spaces, planting and maintaining native reforestation efforts.
You will meet and support our local community with our reformed poachers alternative livelihood projects as well as school visits to teach the next generation about conservation and sustainable living.
This will also be a great opportunity for you to learn all about the gorillas and their ecosystem as well as getting absorbed in to the culture of the Bwindi region of Uganda.
Reglas
We expect our volunteers to show respect to all community members, coming in to our project with an open heart, ready to learn from and support our work and community.
