Very happy with the time I spent in the Center. I was really surprised by how friendly and open everyone was. What started just as a volunteer to improve the Center became something that I hope will stay with me for a long time. Many thanks for everything!

It was my longest experience volunteering so far, and I have a really good time there. I learn a lot of things in the areas I volunteered (I could experience 2, art studio and the cafe) and about the Buddhist. I meet people around all the world and that was incredible! The meals were delicious, I love it :)

My stay at the Center was one the best decision I've ever made. The experience was so amazing that my 2 weeks stay felt like a 6 months one. Every person at MKMC, resident or volunteer, was so receptive, kind and willing to help that it really feels like a big family. Everything worked as agreed and the facilities are nice, clean and organized. If you want to learn a little about Buddhism, practice English and/or visit UK, it's definitely an amazing option!

This was my first worldpackers experience and it was wonderful. I got to meet so many other travelers from all over the world. I'm not a very spiritual person so I was a bit worried about going to a buddhist the project. But honestly if you don't want to, you don't have to engage with it at all. You can just go to the nearest pub and watch football of evening classes about karma aren't your cup of tea. Everyone is really welcoming, the work isn't hard. Don't think you could find many other cafés this stress-free.

I really enjoyed my experience at the Buddhist center. I met people from different countries and practiced my English. the food was very good and the people are welcoming. I highly recommend it! I volunteered at the cafe and really enjoyed it.

It was my first volunteering, and I have no words to describe one of the best experiences I've ever had. The atmosphere is wonderful, all the people are kind. If you still have doubts about going, I just say to go.

It was my first volunteer experience in Worldpackers and it was amazing. I spent 2 weeks in the Center at the cafe and I really enjoyed it. It's a special opportunity to meet nice and interesting people from all around the world, to practice English, to be exposed to a new way of life and to travel around. (the beach is just a 5 minutes walk from the center and there are a lot of beautiful places to see around in the lake district) The atmosphere in the center is so unique and peaceful and the team there are super nice and respectful. I hope to visit again :)

It is an incredible place to disconnect and at the same time connect with everything!! I have met wonderful people there, the volunteers and people who live there are very friendly, it has been an incredible time, I have learned a lot and above all about Buddhism and the Center, I fully recommend it!

I had a beautiful experience here!! People are very kind and welcoming, and you get to know many different volunteers, so it's always fun. The building is sorrounded by beautiful nature, with a lot of chances to go for walks, enjoy fresh air or find some time for yourself. If you want, you also have the possibility to join teachings or the Center and discover more about buddhism, which i think is very interesting. The work hours are respected, and even if sometimes it may get a bit tiring, you always have a nice enviroment and amazing people working with you. I will come back!!
