El proyeto pérgola es un lugar increíble, lleno de luz. Frank su anfitrión es una persona maravillosa, siempre fue súper amable, paciente y respetuoso. Siempre está dispuesto a charlar y Se preocupa porque todos nos encontremos bien y en armonía. Nos abrió las puertas de su casa y de su familia y eso me permitió acercarme mucho más a la cultura local. Aprendí mucho sobre construcciones conscientes y amigables con el medio ambiente. Las selva nos da todo lo que necesitamos! Recorriendo esta experiencia 100%

The place is paradise! With a dog, cats, chickens, learning how to grow plants in the jungle and to build with materials of the area. Frank and his family treated me as one of their own, happy to help, very lovely and warm. Daily tasks are like feeding the animals, getting water, maintaining the structures, cooking on fire (super fun!), collecting wood, fertilize and water the plants. In the spare time you can play volleyball, go to the hill's top for the sunset, hike around the area, to some peaks and waterfalls, make chocolate and learn to cook local dishes. Super enriching experience!!!

Where to staaaart! I spent a month at the project with Frank, his family, and fellow volunteers, and the experience I had there was life changing. Living in the raw, rustic jungle, you truly connect with local nature. Things take time there, you have to appreciate the process of things. It makes everything so much more valuable. Frank is kind and always very open to learning and teaching. Time with him, his uncle Cesar (king of the jungle), his dad Javier (call him Tupac for me please), his mom, and grandma was a blessing. Frank is an excellent host, and now my good friend. He met everyone with love, kindness, humor, adaptability and a desire to learn and teach about social and environmental ideas to help improve his project and enrich the volunteering experience. Doing the daily tasks, construction, tending to the plants, utilizig bio material and more together gave so much growth and enrichment. And from the bottom of my heart I have to thank Frank and his family sharing their hospitality, space and teachings, which where beyond anything I could have expected. Gracias!

Staying at Frank's place was such a great experience! The views were stunning, and I already miss the jungle shower. Even though Frank wasn't always around due to family reasons, he always checked in and made sure we had everything we needed. His family was super welcoming, and he helped us plan an unforgettable trip to a pristine part of the Amazon—I'd totally recommend it! Hope to be back one day!

If you would like to learn more about the beauty and challenges of living simple and working with what is around this project is for you! You will stay outside of civilization in the jungle and reconnect with pachamama and yourself. My highlights are definitely cooking over the fire, the jungle sounds while lying in bed and the amazing view while showering. Altough you should be prepred to pay the price of countless mosquito bites and a lot of dirt. 😁🙌🏻 Frank is a very nice guy with cool visions and is always open for new ideas. It was a lot of fun working with him and the other volunteers!

The project is a very unique experience! You get to stay (as long as you like, given you contribute) in the Amazon in a little self-sustaining area, facilities built from what's available in the jungle around. You work together to live the simple life, cooking with fire, collecting materials, building, exploring the jungle, and working on little projects to sustainably increase quality of life out there. It's an experience that teaches you a lot and roots you away from all of that too-easy accomplishment we get in our daily lives - for a couple days or months I absolutely recommend it!
