My time here was a really fun experience! The family takes you right in and likes spending time with everyone together. The tasks were simple and quite varied, so you won't be bored. The kids and dogs are super fun to play with, they cook amazing meals, and they are very knowledgeable about health and fitness and happy to help you on your fitness journey :)

If you're looking to really become part of family and learn more about health, fitness and jiu jitsu then this is the place for you. My time here was only short but I felt like I was accepted into the family from day one. Sean and stacie believed in me and supported me with career choices and life decisions and have had a positive impact on my journey. You will get so much opportunity to develop skills with children in local schools, jiu jitsu camps, person training / gym environment and the opportunity to explore local areas. I hope to come back one day :)

I wasn't sure what to expect when coming to the school, but my experience there was exactly what I needed. Right away I felt like I was a part of the family, and after traveling for so long it was a really nice change of pace to have a stable environment and a daily routine. Once I got into the swing of things the work was manageable and a lot of the time didn't even feel like work. It was really rewarding helping with the personal training, and I also improved my own training and nutrition with Sean and Stacies help (I lost like 4 kg in 7 weeks!!). Also took jiu jitsu and am really good at it now!

I didn't expect it to be so difficult having to say goodbye, but it felt like I left a part of my home. You realize how easily attached you grow to the family. Stacie, Sean and the kids welcome you in their home as if its your own. You quickly roll into their daily lives and pick up on all the tasks as if you're a family member. There are a lot of tasks you have to take into account and it really pushes you to be collaborative and think as a team. Stacie & Sean are both experts in fitness. If you have experience in the subject or large interest, this is the place to be. 100% recommend!

Downtime here is cool, you take the school and Brazilian jujitsu classes so it's an active lifestyle. But this position is more housekeeping than anything which was not said in the description. There is not set hours, you will be working throughout the day which will add up to more than 5 hours a day. Sean and Stacie favor volunteers, they took them out for fun days both Saturday and Sunday and left me and another girl sitting at home, didn't even tell us. Come here if you want to be a maid, not a position for the school! Too much work, stress, and exhaustion to not be paid.

Britney thank you very much for your comments, however I feel this is quite rich coming from you, someone who claims to be a level 3 personal trainer, however you clearly choose not to integrate with the rest of the team when we went all together to train in the gym or to do Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and we definitely felt a sense of "it was below you" and intact you no interest in fitness at all so maybe that's why you felt like a housekeeper.

You carried out the morning tasks that take no longer than 30 minutes at a snail pace, very slowly and with an uncaring, lazy manner.

You couldn't keep up with basic home tasks like taking a vacuum around the kitchen, or wiping down the worktops, you would fold only your own laundry and noone else's which in turn created a tremendous amount of resentment and anger from other volunteers resulting in them having to ask you many times to pull your weight.

You was explained to in the interview that this is a very busy and active volunteering project you mentioned during interview that you was excited to start volunteering with the charity program we run with children however in the first class you had to be asked by the head coach to wake up and help to take control of the children and after when downloading to me how the class went you said you thought it went quite well, but compained why there is so many children with ADHD "they were so so crazy and misbehaving" which doesn't seem to me like a person who likes to be around children or was happy to work in a program with children.

You mentioned that the position is more housekeeping, however we don't feel that housekeeping includes wiping down the worktops that you eat from or helping to clean the dishes after I have made food for everybody that evening.... and making food whilst all the volunteers was enjoying a free Brazilian jiu-jitsu class, or doing the laundry which includes your own things.. you sure have a lot to learn and a long way to grow.

Yes we do take our volunteers out Saturdays and Sundays as we feel a strong team / family atmosphere, but do refuse to take any volunteer that doesn't join the team, doesn't pull their weight, and refuses to fit in.
Brittany, yes we did take a volunteer out and left you at home, however it was only one volunteer and the rest of the family was all at home, you wasn't left alone with another girl.. we simply took this volunteer out because she helped us out the weekend before but however what would you know about teamwork!

All the volunteers that were here during your stay including the one that you said was left alone with you whilst we went out for the weekend (1 day) were all very taken back by your negative message and would all like to give you their opinion about your work and team ethics.

To finish on this note, after offering volunteering positions for the last 7 years I've never met someone so arrogant and unwilling to work in the team.
It's a shame I gave you five stars, however wanted to give you an opportunity for a future volunteering project, if I could redo my review it would be zero Stars.

My experience at the school was nice, Stacie and her family were very welcoming and the volunteers there as well. I had a nice time and learned a lot about daily tasks and responsibility in those areas. Thanks for the opportunity!

It was an incredible experience for my life to have known the school. It was so incredible that I extended my time three times. My English has improved a lot with the help of the kids Rio and Jazz. My workouts have improved with Sean and Stacie's support. In addition to the workout experience, there was also a unique cultural learning experience. I recommend this volunteer job! They'relovely, funny, kind. They will take care of you like you are a member of their family take you lime someone from their family. Thanks for everything! Lov this family

I found in the school important things for life: a family, a lifestyle and a lot of wisdom. Stacie and Sean are inexplicable people and what I can say is that if you want to be part of the experience you will never leave as the same person you used to be. In a short time, for those who have an open mind, it is possible to learn a lot of things in a profound way. For me, those things were Jiu-Jitsu, relationships and business. I'm absolutely grateful! Don't expect to find just a workplace to swap hours for food and a place to sleep. Expect to find people willing to give you a great life experience.

I want to start my evaluation telling that the only problem about this experience is that you don't want to go back to your daily life once you know Sean, Stacie, Kai, Rio, Jaz, all those amazing kids and all the other volunteers. That happened to us: we were so involved, having fun, learning new activities, learning a new active and healthy life style, that we didn't wanted to go home anymore. And we didn't (Thank God that they have been patience to deal with all those people that just want to stay for as long as they can). I actually felt like I was in home! Thank you for everything! Amazing
