Fue una buena experiencia donde hay muy buenos paisajes y las tareas no son tan exigentes. Las instalaciones son muy lindas y el trato de los empleados de la Hacienda es excelente. La hacienda se encuentra un poco alejada de los lugares mas turísticos pero con un poco coordinación pudimos salir de paseo en los días libres.

Como primer experiencia estuvo bien , el lugar es muy lindo y tranquilo conectas con la naturaleza y disfrutas estar con los animales . Se podia estar comodo en las habitaciones y con varios espacios para compartir. Lo unico que se podria mejorar es la coordinacion con lo pactado y la comunicacion con el anfitrion que por momentos no tenia buenas formas de dirigirse.

La experiencia estuvo bien y el lugar es muy hermoso. A veces costaba adaptarse al ritmo de Álvaro y hubo instancias en donde no se respetó las tareas para lo que uno aplicó. Pero por otro lado, es una persona flexible con la que se puede dialogar y con atenciones hacia al voluntario que podría no haber hecho. Como por ejemplo, comidas de bienvenida/despedida.

La experiencia en la granja fue breve y me he unido muy rápido al grupo, agradezco a ver conectado con la mayoria de voluntarios durante mi estadia. Lo mejor de mi experiencia fue haber tenido una habitacion propia, con una chimenea propia y no puedo dejar de mencionar que unirnos a comer todos juntos e ir rotando cada dia tambien hacen que la experiencia sea notable!

The lodge is a great experience, and is really fun! 2-3 weeks is enough time to experience everything and enjoy your time without being too tired out as the hours are spread out throughout the day so it can be tiring in the heat. The workers are all really lovely and will help you to feel welcome & Working with the kids is funny and cute. After work you can swim in the pool when the kids are not in it- usually 7-8pm which is nice Its a noisy camp with lots of music so sleeping can be difficult sometimes. The food is okay it's just what the kids eat. Thankyou for my time here! 🫶

In the beginning, our group of volunteers was a bit confused by the working hours. During camps, it can happen that you work very long days, but you get other days completely off as compensation. Working with the kids is very fun and rewarding. I experienced very nice and well-behaved kids. You always perform the activities with monitors helping you. Daro tried his best to provide vegetarian food, but we were mostly dependent on the food from the kitchen and mostly ate what the kids ate. So I definitely recommend bringing your own food! Thank you very much for this experience!

"the lodge is managed by Álvaro, a dedicated young leader. The team, including Carlos, Grisella, and Gregorio, is from South America, and I practiced Spanish with them. The experience was positive and flexible, working in a charming spot close to nature. The hacienda is now closed for winter maintenance but retains its charm. A car is recommended as it's in the countryside."

Volunteering at the lodge was a great experience! I was there during October and November, so they didn't have many camps booked. We ended up only working two camps. The hosts were amazing and really cared about our experience volunteering with them! You get fed three meals and snacks during the camps, but are, for the most part, on your own for food when there isn't a camp. As long as you like a calm, secluded experience, this is perfect for you. Overall, I highly, highly recommend this volunteer experience!

I loved working with the kids! My camp nick name was "Maui" haha. I was able to Kayak, zip line, play night games, teach zumba, and do arts and crafts with kids. I also did video and photo content for the lodge which I enjoyed. If you love kids and want to learn Spainsh, this is a great place.
