La experiencia

We are a Belgian couple starting a regenerative farm-project in Central Alentejo. A 42ha typical "Montado". We already have broilers and laying hens, ducks, quails, cork oaks, some fruit trees, dogs, cat, guinea pigs, living quarters, ... We look for travellers to share ideas and help this type of regen ag. Help can include assisting in the construction, take care of the animals, land and produce, decorate, set-up new projects,...

Que ofreces?

25 horas de ayuda por semana

Limpieza: Ayuda a limpiar la cocina, dormitorios, baños y áreas comunes.

Cuidado de Animales: Ayuda a cuidar mascotas.

Construcción y Reparación: Ayuda con varias tareas de reparación o construcción.

Jardinería: Ayuda a plantar y cultivar jardines.

Lo que obtienes

2 dias libres por semana

Habitación del equipo: Tendrás una cama en un cuarto compartido con otras personas.

Programa detallado

We open our doors for travellers who would like to get a taste of manual farm life in the middle of Portugal. We like to see travellers who like to learn and join in the farm and guest activities, but also take initiative and think with us how to improve our current project. We are very flexible but expect travellers to add their share in the work at hand. Usually travellers join us in the morning to finish the daily chores and then do whatever work crosses our path. Of course we leave travellers ample time to enjoy our beautivul nature, take hikes, visit the area, relax etc.

Actividades & Turnos

Already in place are chickens, ducks, quails, rabbits, cork oaks, fruit trees, dogs, cat, guinea pigs, guestrooms, ... We are mainly looking for travellers to share ideas on our new regenerative project. We share our current knowledge of how to restore the land with the help of animals and hope to study together how we can improve this plan. There are no fixed hours. On a farm, there are always things to do. We start around 6:00 with the animals and would like travellers to join us from time to time in this experience. As from 8:00, it depends on the urgencies and on what you like to learn or to do . We hope you share, enjoy and contribute. Help can include assisting in construction, take care of the animals, land and produce, decorate newly finished parts of the houses, composting, construct water lines, set up new projects. Afternoons you can join us again or take free.

Reglas

We speak English, French, Dutch, Portuguese and limited Spanish.
Only travellers with a valid travel and medical insurance, and with valid immigration documents will be allowed.
