I can't say enough "thank you" for our amazing hosts or should I say my Peruvian family in Huancayo---- Ingrid and Bernabe, who are extremely welcoming, loving, and caring for every volunteer(and human being in general). This is my first volunteering experience, and I'm grateful that I was able to connect with this wonderful organization, and of course, the big hearted people in this organization. During the past one month, I was soaking in so many loving and precious connections that I will be forever grateful with.(I don't really speak Spanish. But it's okay, love transcends any languages :)

Sihan is a person with many qualities, extremely cheerful, very responsible, she got involved in different projects and worked very well on all of them, very dedicated, kind, tender and had a very good relationship with the team and group of volunteers at the residence. She made great relationships and a very significant and valuable work in all the projects in which she was involved, very committed to the population she helped. We will miss you, Sihan.

My partner and I had the most incredible 2 weeks with the organization. We worked each morning with adults and children with disabilities, and each afternoon in an after-school program with children in a small village. The hosts Bernabe & Ingred were incredibly welcoming and warm, always answering any questions and ensuring we were happy with the work we were doing. The local volunteers we worked with during the day, Abel & Eloiza were so patient and understanding and are such generous people who work extremely hard. We felt so welcomed, and this humbling experience will stay in our hearts forever.

Kate and Oliver are super cheerful people, willing to give their all for others. Very affectionate and respectful. Everyone who helped was very grateful and our team too. They have been very helpful in the projects they have helped.
They also adapted very easily to the Peruvian culture (Huancayo).
Thanks for all your help, you are spectacular people.

Minha segunda experiência com a ExpandPeru trouxe novas vivências, agora num campo da Pediatria dentro da Fisioterapia, pois tive a oportunidade de estar no Centro de Estimulação precoce. Pude revisitar o Projeto Casa, como educadora e compartilhar atividades com viajantes francesas. Além disso, vivi uma imersão na cultura local e vida cotidiana, me conectando com a realidade e desfrutando momentos leves.

Experiência intensa com impacto grandioso em minha vida. Me senti segura em ambiente respeitoso. Me conectei com outros viajantes com objetivos semelhantes e pude praticar espanhol e inglês, além de competências profissionais e pessoais. Tive uma visão ampliada da Fisioterapia em diferentes ações e pude desfrutar do turismo (locais, culinária, cultura) nas horas de descanso e nos finais de semana. Recomendo e espero retornar em outro momento. Levarei comigo o que aprendi e todo acolhimento e cuidado recebido de todos que fazem essa vivência ser única.

Minha primeira experiência fora do pais e foi uma coisa sem igual, desde o inicio fui acompanhado por Bernabé e sua equipe sendo acolhido, instruído e ambientado. Eu só tenho a agradecer pois lá encontrei pessoas que foram minha família nos dois meses que fiquei e creio que essa é a maior qualidade desse projeto!! Espero que um dia eu possa voltar e contribuir mais!

A experiência com a organização foi incrível do começo ao fim, eles deram todo o suporte, me direcionaram a 2 projetos durante a minha estadia. Me levavam e buscavam no começo, estavam sempre disponíveis e atentos a tudo o que eu precisava. Super indico a organização, Bernabe e Mirella, sao super atenciosos e ótimos anfitriões. As crianças do projeto são super legais, curiosas e abertas aos voluntários e estão em comunidades que realmente precisam de ajuda. Foi tudo incrível.
