I had a great time here learning and helping the family. They really look out for you and the hospitality is next to none. They put in a great amount of effort to show you how things work and are so passionate about what projects they work on. The 2 weeks I spent here were so varied and every day brought something new! Always an experience I will cherish😊

I spent 2 weeks with this family of 6 and all of their animals! There are very endearing and have a lot of knowledge that they love to share. The place is relaxing and there are a lot of ecological techniques like dry toilets, biodigesters, phytopurifying plants and many others that are undergoing maintenance.During the week, the work last 5 hours and is very variable. Then we all have lunch together and everyone goes about their business.I had the luck to attend Maria de Dios's posada, taste lot of great Mexican food, learn to play a bit of ukulele, and go to markets on Sundays ! Thank you :)

We had great experience there., even ended up staying longer. The family is very friendly and generous. Working hours aren't strict and work itself can be something different every day which was fun. We got fed twice a day, always nice meals and even if you get hungry you can always prepare something for yourself. They also took care of me when I fell sick. I would definitely recommend to go there. :)

The family welcomed us with warm energy from day 1 when they picked us up in the bus terminal. The family is very kind, friendly, caring, happy and attentive. They would always treat us on markets if we went on markets. We have been shown around and taken on local adventures to nearby cities. We have been well fed during our whole stay. We had our own private room. The jobs and schedules were very fair. Muchísimas gracias a todos! Gracias por recibirnos en su casa!

I had the pleasure of volunteering at the organization Quetzalcóatl, a family-run project located in a small town in the mountains of Mexico. The experience was incredibly rewarding. The work included farming, cleaning, and taking care of animals, all in a serene, eco-friendly setting. The house itself is massive and beautifully lush with plants, making it a perfect environment for learning about sustainable living. I would highly recommend this volunteer opportunity to anyone interested in permaculture, eco-friendly living, or just looking for a peaceful escape in the mountains.

Such a beautiful experience with such beautiful people. This experience was exactly what I imagined life would be like in Mexico! A totally local experience. I was so well fed and taken care of. It felt like being a part of a family.
