Enthusiastic volunteers needed in a Surf Camp

I really enjoyed my month of volunteering at the guest house & would recommend it to anyone looking for a warm & welcoming surf/yoga the guest house. I learned a lot during my stay there & really feel like I got a grasp on moroccan culture. It was especially interesting to work with the cook Mina and her nephew Aziz, who don't speak a word of english or french - so communicating was challenging at times - but with a few words of Darija (Maroccan Arabic Dialect) & a lot of creativity in mimic gestures it always worked out. Thank you Dalil, Valerie & Clara for a great month🫶🏻

The guest house is a home away from home ! Clara, Valerie and Dalil are always there for you and happy to help. The work is quite flexible when it comes to schedueling and tasks, and it varieres depending on the amount of guests. the team does a great job with communication and always listening. the cultural exchange you get from working with mina and azis in the kitchen is very precious, and something i will look back on for a long time. The everday life at the guest house is amazing for those who love the ocean and the sun! the days will fly by surfing, skating, swimming and petting the dogs.

If I had to pick one quality that impressed me about Ninna is how she was able to turn around a couple of "cultural difference" issues that she was confronted to at the beginning of her stay.
Instead of avoiding new cultural encounters, she actually immersed herself in the culture by stepping out of the camp, making local friends, learning Darija (local Arabic dialect), fasting the month of Ramadan, etc.
Today, she earned the respect of her Moroccan co-workers and, she too, received a moroccan nickname, Fatna!
So my respects to Ninna for the way she turned a miscommunication into a wonderfull human experience.
Finally, Ninna got involved with some cool "artsy" projects around the camp and delighted us with delicious snacks every day.

Thank you Ninna and you can come back anytime 🙏🤗🤙

My time at the guest house was an great experience! The hosts are super welcoming, always have an open ear for your concerns and include you into the guest house family right away. The volunteer rooms are pretty and the authentic moroccan food is amazing. I learnt a lot about the culture and the language especially while communicating with the employees. It's a fair work trade with fun tasks and a lot of room for creativity. Whenever there was capacity, I got the chance to join surf lessons, day trips and yoga lessons with the guests. I was always allowed to rent a board. I would always come bac

It has been an immense pleasure meeting Annie and having her on the Maroc Surf Camp team these past few weeks!
Annie antastic energy from day 1, a great team player, very creative, always in a great mood and, last but not least, an incredible baker 😋
Annie also showed great skills when it comes to braking the cultural gap between her and other employees and was therefore able to better communicate and share with our staff 👍
By the way, she was quickly and affectionately nick named Aïcha by all her peers ☺️
So, thank you Aïcha for an outstanding job and for capturing everyone's heart. We miss you and please come back to our little happy oasis anytime you like 🙏

I had great time at the guest house. From the first day the team makes you feel welcome. The work consists mainly on setting up the table for breakfast and dinner and then to clean after. Expect the work to get bit more exhausting when there are more guests but that's normal and generally it's a fair deal for both the host and volunteers. The hosts clara and Dalil were always listening to our concerns and Valerie helps when it gets busy which was nice. The food was amazing and i enjoyed the cultural exchange with mina and aziz in the kitchen. I will definitely come back to visit one day :)
