The hostel has been a very fun experience:) the work is easy and you will end your shift very fast, even though sometimes it can be a the hostel bit physical. I didn't stayed in the hostel, but in a sharehouse the owner has 20 minutes away from LJ, and it was really good. The volunteers I met were great people and we had some much fun. The local staff is also very nice, even though we didn't hanged out many times. The owner wasn't around a lot and sometimes communicating with him could be tough, but he was nice. Also, now there's a manager, Yusuke, who's really kind! Overall I had a good time!

I really enjoyed my experience in the hostel ! I like this neighbourhood easy access to asakusa , Ueno , Akihabara . I was in sharehouse 15 min walk, a good way to learn about the Japanese culture. You got free meal or you can cook so you can save some money . (Sometime it's not possible because the kitchen is rented) tasks are easy , usually from 9-3pm but possible to finish earlier sometimes . If there too many bed an other staff will help. If you want to visit an other city you may have to swap shift if you want 3 days straight. I recommend if you wanna stay in Tokyo

I had a great time at the hostel. Location is perfect, I met some cool people, the food/drinks was also a pro. The sharehouse (which contains a women-only dorm) is about a 10 minute walk away. Staff consists of ~4 international and ~10 Japanese volunteers For cleaning staff, the hours are either 9-3 or 10-1, and it is a lot if you do it properly. Some of the staff members like to do things together on their days/evenings off, so it's nice because you can make some friends. It's a the hostel difficult if you're vegetarian, the pre cooked meals contain meat.

I had an amazing time at the hostel! The work was fair and well structured. The meals included are the same everyday but good. The other volunteers and the location definitely made this an experience I won't forget!

I had an amazing time at the hostel! The work was super easy to learn, and the manager and team were always really patient and helpful. The atmosphere at the hostel was welcoming, with both Japanese staff and international volunteers. The sharehouse was comfortable and had everything I needed, plus the location is perfect for exploring Tokyo! I'm really grateful for the experience and all the great people I met. The hostel has been a great experience. Working at the hostel was such a fun and rewarding experience. The staff was welcoming, the tasks were fair, and the vibe was always friendly and social. I met a lot of nice people, and felt like part of a the hostel international family. The location is also very good ! :)

I had a good time at the hostel! There are Japanese workers and international volunteers and they are all very nice! The work is fair and can be done very fast! The only downside of this position is, that there are in total 3 meals that you can always eat, but as they are repetitive you are probably gonna eat at the hostel max. once a day, there are no vegetarian options, and there is nothing for breakfast. All in all the location is very convenient in a nice, silent neighbourhood and I liked the experience very much! Thank you to everyone, espacialy to the very friendly manager Sato-san!

The hostel work is easy and simple. The manager was really nice by showing things step by step you just need to follow them. The work doesn't require any skills or anything. Also you get to live in a sharehouse well equipped & nice people. Overall if you want to explore not only tokyo but also the surrounding i think its the best opportunity😅.

Everyone at the hostel was so friendly! There were some volunteers and some japanese staff (most of whom spoke english). The working hours were usually 9-3 with a break. They have 3 meals to choose from for lunch and dinner, or make your own. The work is easy and if there were a lot of beds to change the other staff helped out. I shared a room with another staff member at a sharehouse nearby and they gave me a bike to get around, but you're always welcome to hang out at the hostel. I would 100% recommend if you want to explore Tokyo and surrounding cities. Thank you everyone at the hostel

Bad..I was supposed to live 10 min walk from the hostel. Before arrival they sent me the location of a place that was 30min away. No one knew I was coming either. The 3 meals are only allowed to eat at the hostel. Makes it impossible to have if you live 30min away and only work 4 days a week. The boss doesn't communicate well and doesn't solve problems. After I asked to move to the 10min walk sharehouse and let him know that I am not happy with the situation, he started getting upset with me and made up reasons for why I'm a bad worker. It became very uncomfortable so I left by emergency.

What she wrote is not true. Other reviews show that we have always followed the stated conditions. Accommodation and meals are confirmed only after prior explanation and consent. There are two houses, 10 minutes apart by bicycle or on foot. After learning she couldn’t ride a bike, we offered the closer house, but she chose to stay. She ignored rules, skipped shifts without notice, and left earlier than agreed, which caused trouble for the team. Please see our review of her for the main issues.
