This was my first experience with WorldPackers and it exceeded my expectations. Eduardo and Alfa, who run the hostel, became my Valladolid family and provided such a fun and comfortable environment throughout the hostel (which is a beautiful place with a nice pool!). I taught yoga and helped with social activities such as Mayan cooking classes and Cenote tours, which was really special. I was given a lot of flexibility to teach my classes as I wanted and always felt my input was taken into consideration. This was the perfect mix of using my skills and having fun - I recommend this to anyone!

Volunteering in here was the best part of my Mexico trip! All the staff were amazing, especially Eduardo, Alfa, Adrian and Terresita, always greeting me with a warm smile. I applied as a yoga teacher but as it was low season in Valladolid, along with the yoga classes I also helped with other activities, mostly mayan cooking class and tequila tasting which was agreed upon beforehand. I had to communicate with the manager about few things regarding working hours and work distribution between other volunteers but he tried his best to meet my needs. I genuinely loved my stay and would recommend!

At first I was a bit afraid because It was my first worldpackers experience and I did'nt know how I would be on Valladolid, but at the end It turned to be the perfect experience. The staff it's really nice and professional, the place it's really comfortable and the tasks are easy and fair. Also you have the oportunity to explore the town and it's sourrounding areas that are amazing. Also I have to mention the manager Eduardo, he is a really nice person, easy-going and empathetic that helped me all the time to succeed in my tasks and un my experience un general. Thank you!

Volunteering at the hostel was such an amazing experience. I primarily taught yoga here for 3 weeks and cannot say enough good things about the team, the location of the hostel, Valladolid itself. The work is fun and super reasonable time-wise where you have more than enough time to see the city and surrounding area. The activities are so fun, like leading tequila tastings, Mayan cooking classes, helping with breakfast, teaching yoga, etc. Cannot recommend enough… Muchas gracias Eduardo, Alfa, Theresita & team. We love you guys! 🤍

My experience here was incredible, the facilities are everything you need, the activities you help with are easy and fun, you enjoy doing them. I did 2 tours and had a lot of fun. The hostel staff is wonderful, Eduardo, Teresita, Dayana, Alfa... they are all very friendly and made me feel at home. I definitely recommend this experience 100%, and Valladolid is the best city I have lived in so far. Thank you very much and I hope to see you again. The only thing I regret is having a remote job, since I wasn't able to get to know the city much or spend more time with people I met.

An absolutely fantastic experience staying at the hostel and i wouldn't have traded it for any other. There where however some discrepancies between what whas was agreed upon and what actually was expected og me. As far as i know this has been going on for a while, still no changes has been made. The manager however didn't seem to know about this when i informed him so maybe it will be fixed soon. The main differences where: - You only get 1 day off per week - You're doing tours 0-3 times a week the other days are evening activities Even tho it differed from promise it was well worth it

Hurricane Beryl. I think I should start with the one responsible for not having a good experience I was willing to spend one month in Valladolid but I had to come back earlier. When I arrived in Mexico, there were hardly any clients in the hostel and with the imminent arrival of Hurricane Beryl, all reservations, for the following weeks were canceled. I didn't have the chance to perform any of the tasks I applied for. No clients, no other volunteers and everyone preparing everything for the impact of the hurricane Eduardo is a very nice, kind and friendly person

It was a nice first volunteering experience with Antonio, Eduardo, Theresa and all the staff. Due to low season, the tasks were different from the offer (we also did help with other activities than cenote tours) but they were all fun. The amount of time working in comparison to what you get (accommodation + breakfast) is super fair and makes the stay super pleasant. They welcomed us friendly, we talked about the tasks when arriving and afterwards they were very trustful and we had a lot of freedom. During the time off Valladolid is a well located to see a lot around. So would recommend!
