Experiência incrível!! hostel super limpo e organizado. Os gerentes do hostel, são muito comprometidos com o trabalho, e sabem exatamente a função do voluntario. Todo o staff me recebeu muito bem. Localização perfeita, praticamente na praia, lugar paradisíaco e com boas ondas. Um dos melhores voluntariados que fiz pela Worldpackers. Super recomendado!! 🌊🙌✨️🤙🙏🏄‍♂️

Then I have been in Portugal for a month, started alone as a volunteer in the surf paradise in Arrifana, Aljezur (Portugal). The lifestyle to the many of the people I met lived here, worked from the computer, and surfed in the afternoon, and most evenings you could enjoy live music at the various surf cafes/restaurants. Grateful for the nice people, the conversations and the new memories I have for life! Definitely coming back, I loved it🌸

It was great to volunteer at this Hostel! Milena, Daniela, Isabel, Ju and all the crew were so kind all the time. They always helped if there was something to. The shifts were like it's defined and it was even possible to change some in a flexibel way. The hostel is at a calm and lovely place where you can just have a good time! I loved it :)

My time at Arrifana has been super chill and relaxed. I had lots of free time to enjoy the nature, share time with the lovely volunteers and guests and make lots of unforgettable memories! The working hours and tasks were easy and fair, specially now in low season. The staff has been always super caring and attentive, providing us everything we needed. I would totally recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience a beach and surf lifestyle :)

I've stayed at the hostel for three weeks (i had to leave earlyer and the host was totally understandable about that). the other staff members are amazing and it feels like a family. the hostel is 10 min from the beach. what you need to think about before applying: it is relatively secluded. you can't just go (grocery) shopping, if you want to, take the bus (~4x a day) or hitchhike. same with going out. there are a few weekly events, but plan at least 30 min walking. our first accommodation wasn't good but after we asked, we got another room. other than this, this host is amazing in season

From the moment I arrived the people there made me fell so welcome and existed about being a part of the team. The work you are asked to do is easy and varies so it doesn't get boring :). It's also super fun to work together with the other volunteers and staff. The hostel is in a small town, close to the beach. There are also events every evening in town you can go to. I definitely had a great time meeting new people and learning new things. Definitely would recommend volunteering there!

If you are lucky enough to get offered a spot here take it immediately. I cannot emphasize how amazing an atmosphere the hostel/ town is. It is relatively isolated and is a small town community. Within the hostel you will make tons of friends both who work there, live in Arrifana and others who are just passing through. There are events somewhere almost every night, surfing and sun everyday and you won't get bogged down by tedious workloads. In fact, working with the other volunteers and employees makes the light load fly past with a smile on your face and big reggae tunes in the background :)

I would 100% recommend this place, everyone is just so kind and they really make you feel welcome and at home. The hostel is in the perfect spot, just 5 minutes away from the beach. Also, the tasks are pretty easy and they always try to accomodate you if you need something. I will miss this place so much, thank you for the best month!

I had an awesome experience here at the hostel and would totally recommend this stay to others! Along a costal hiking trail and near a beautiful surfing beach the hostel clientele are fun and easy going! The staff are a great group and as an english speaker I didn't have many problems. Over all it was a beautiful place with beautiful people and I would love to go back one day, a month was not long enough!!

I stayed here for 4 weeks during low season and it was very calm. The working shifts rotated a lot so it never really got boring and they were very easy and fun to do! Because it was so calm there were not many events going on anymore in Arrifana itself so sometimes the surroundings became a bit boring. I recommend renting a car before coming here because it will make it easier to get to places. Management at the hostel could be better because there weren't any surfboards as they had advertised and not every week breakfast was as promised. I loved the experience and would like to come back.
