Very cool experience. The owner is a very nice lady that really cares about the hostel and the enjoyment of volunteers. The work is easy, you just need to make sure everything keeps running smoothly and that there is always someone to respond to guest's concerns. For me, I arrived during a more chaotic period as the manager left a few weeks ago, which left a gap in terms of tasks and activities. I could see how the organization improved throughout my stay. I made great the hostel with the other volunteers which made the experience amazing

The experience volunteering at the hostel was a great one, the work was fairly simple and I could always count on Vera and the other volunteers when I had doubts. It is a great place to meet people from all over the world, I had a great time with the volunteers exploring Bucharest and Romania. Vera has a super kind heart and is always eager to help. Will miss the people I've met and the kittens (the cutest most loving creatures!!!) very much.

It was a great experience, I really enjoyed my days there despite the heat. The work was good and easy. Also, it was nice to share a lot with the other volunteers. I would like to come back in the future. Thank you Vera for welcoming us and for the goodbye.

Had a very fun and memorable time at the hostel. We organised a schedule together and had very little work to do overall as we shared it out. A lot of the time I found myself doing odd chores here and there even if I wasn't on shift as I felt very in control of what I was doing. Made some great the hostel along the way and they brought really good energy to the hostel which helped motivate me further. The hostel also has cats which were a lot of fun, but bare it in mind if you have allergies! Would recommend if you're in Bucharest.

I loved my volunteering at the hostel, the job was basically reception and cleaning, but the hostel is small so everything is easy. Dimitri is the best manager in the world, anything you need he will help you, we had a lot of laughs, and I will miss everyone, and also the cats. Vera is always kind. Bucharest is a big city, so there's a little bit of everything to do. Thanks for the opportunity.

My experience was wonderful! I went to stay a month and stayed two! The work is smooth, both in cleaning and reception. Accommodation for volunteers is also good, and we have what we need. Dimitri is always around to make sure everything is ok and even if he's not at the hostel you can call him any time and he'll sort anything out. The energy of the hostel is very good. The street has some strange people, but nothing that will disturb the experience. I was there for two months and nothing happened I highly recommend this experience! I will miss Dimitri and the adorable kittens! ;)

At the start there was some confusion of what and how to do the shifts but after a few days it felt very easy. The apartment in which you stay in is in a house a minute down the road from the actual hostel which doesn't have WiFi but besides that is cosy.

Upon arriving, I heard a disturbing 'prank story' involving a drug overdose that resulted in a volunteer's death. Vera, showed no concern about this 'fictional prank overdose story'. People could do anything as long as the hostel was functional. The cats had fleas and slept on the beds. Vera allowed harmful pesticides to be used in the rooms to eliminate bed bugs. She also asked us volunteers to spread the false message “the building is being painted” as an excuse to get people out of the rooms when this happened. All local shops are far away, as is anything you wish to see in Bucharest.
