Working at Black Swan hostel was an amazing experience! The shifts were well-organized, with 5 shifts a week—some lasting 6 hours, others 5 hours. The tasks were a great mix of cleaning, leading tours, and helping to prepare dinner, which kept things dynamic and fun. Zuzanna, the manager, was always flexible and supportive, and the guests were full of excitement and great energy. If you enjoy connecting with friendly people, exploring the city, and being part of a lively environment, this is the perfect place for you!

Black Swan was truly a second home to me, I will forever be grateful for my time there. The friendships I formed with the other volunteers and guests are so so special to me, we made many unforgettable memories together. The hostel itself elicits such a homey, cozy vibe that it is very easy to settle in and feel comfortable right away. The shifts are very very reasonable and honestly quite fun, it was nice getting to work with the receptionists and cleaners and become close with them as well. Lots of free time, location is AMAZING, I fell in love with Barcelona, never wanted to leave <333

This volunteer position changed my life!! Been the most amazing month I could have asked for. It genuinely feels like I'm leaving home which is so sad but I'm so so grateful to have even experienced this! The tasks are simple and you still get enough free time to explore Barcelona. The reception team are amazing and you feel like family with the other volunteers. I met new guests every day who have become good friends. Overall it has been the most wonderful experience and I would recommend it to anyone!!! Only side note is volunteer room is small but you get used to it and it's comfortable.

I had so much fun in Black Swan, the tasks were really chill and easily communicated. Cindy was accomodating and tried her best to give us time off when we wanted specific days offs. I made heaps of friends with the guests and other volunteers which was so special. I would recommend this hostel to everyone! 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼

I had a great experience at Black Swan. I made friends for life in the other volunteers and also guests. The best part of my experience was meeting people from all over the world and hearing their stories. I'm very grateful for the month I had here. Barcelona is a beautiful city. Would definitely recommend to a friend!

I had a great time at black Swan. Cindy was a great manager. She treated everybody equally and fairly. The shifts were exactly as she explained. I I also made great friends at this hostel (guests, receptionists, and volunteers). The hostel is a party hostel but one does not have to go out. Every night there is a wonderful pub crawl with free alcohol and drinking games. As far as the tasks go, they are simple and rewarding. My favorite was leading guests to the beach!

This was my first volunteering and I couldn't choose better hostel.✨ It is located in a great location and there is so many activities you can do. And also the shifts are pretty flexible. This hostel is so social and I've met so many amazing people. And employees there are the best. After whole month here I felt like I was leaving home.

Minha experiência no BlackSwan foi muito boa, a localização do hostel é excelente, as tarefas são tranquilas e organizadas. O hostel tem uma energia muito boa entre os voluntários e funcionários, inclusive fica aqui meu agradecimento a Zuzi, Naza, Nine, Borja, Eze e Cindy que foram incríveis durante minha estadia aqui. Certamente vou embora muito contente com o que vive aqui, obrigadooo.
