This was my first experience as a volunteer and I honestly don't think I could have picked a better hostel to start my volunteering at. This hostel showed me nothing but love and respect from the people who work here to the people who were considered my bosses. I had such a great time exploring the city with the guests as a tour guide and it was a beautiful experience to meet local people and also foreigners traveling through the hostel. They for sure made me feel right at home and comfortable staying and volunteering at Hostal the hostel. Thanks to all of the staff/ everyone involved at the hostel!

The hostel is a fantastic place to volunteer. The facilities are great and the activities are fun. The people are very friendly, kind and super supportive. I can't thank them enough for my time there and wish I could have stayed longer.

I don't know if my review will be helpful as they are going through a period of change and improving (right now they have a mess). The to environment between the staff and with volunteers it's honestly like being in a Hollywood high school movie; sometimes they love each other, sometimes they team up against someone and they constantly talk about each other and “punch” each other on the back. But, the travelers that arrive are usually amazing! The hostel is super clean and one of the best I've stayed at (installation wise). The activities are being changed, and there's about to be a new host.

The hostel's location in CDMX is ideal for exploring the city. Situated in a vibrant neighborhood, it's close to cultural landmarks, markets, and public transportation, making it convenient for both work and leisure. Adrian, the hostel staff and management are exceptionally supportive. They ensure that everyone is comfortable with their tasks and offer guidance whenever needed. This nurturing environment creates a positive and empowering volunteer experience.

I had a great time volunteering at the hostel. Everyone was so friendly and happy to help. The location is amazing and the activities are great when everyone gets involved. The fact you get your own space within your 'box' bed is also great to get some privacy but also have a hostel feel. I would highly recommend anyone who's looking to volunteer in the hostel to do so at the hostel.

Literally the nicest hostel is brand new and more like a boutique hotel. The staff is so nice and treat you like family. I've never had a problem with scheduling and every time I suggested a change the manager was more than willing to do so. I legitimately would have stayed longer if I didn't have another experience booked. It's also a great location close to so much and transport. I have zero complaints ☺️

It was my first experience as a volunteer and I was really excited. My excitement didn't last. Adrian has poor communication skills I never knew what I had to do and when, the plans were changing often and buckle up, he asked us to be flexible which for him meant sending us messages to work last minute and us bending to his order. We are volunteers, we're here to experience, travel, immerse ourselves. I was supposed to work on Saturday for a tour, it didn't happen because we didn't have enough people, I wasn't working so I left for the weekend and I got fired for it, he blamed me for the tour

This hostel is a beauty And the people working there are amazing They're gonna take care of you and you're needs, as much as they're gonna help you enjoy your trip. Everything can be talked and discussed, and the task we have to do are pretty fun. I was in charge of the walking tour and enjoyed it a lot. All of them make you feel welcomed. Plus it has a perfect location to visit all the cool stuff and enjoy all the best parties. 10/10 recommend 🫶🏻

The hostel is super clean, modern and comfortable and well located and the team are all very friendly. I got very sick the first week and the host was understanding and supportive when I couldn't work. Sometimes we would be asked to work last minute and hours weren't communicated clearly enough but the host was understanding when we couldn't work last minute. Also I struggled not speaking Spanish here, it's great practice but I'd definitely recommend knowing a little Spanish beforehand! Overall it was a great first volunteer experience.
