Por lejos la mejor experiencia de voluntariado de mi vida! Nicky y Patrick son fantásticos, amables, comprometidos, cordiales, muy simpáticos y atentos! Los niños son un encanto, es imposible que no te contagien su energia y Dugall es el perro perfecto! Todo superó mis expectativas, pequeña pero acogedora hostal, conectada con la naturaleza, aprendí nuevas cosas y me conecte con la cultura local! Es la experiencia de ensueño!

Mi estancia fue muy buena me í como en casa y los turnos estan bien distribuidos con tareas específicas , mi estancia fue por dos meses y sin duda lo disfrute bastante. Gracias Nikki & Patrik por la oportunidad, estoy agradecida y por supuesto que recomiendo ampliamente al anfitrión. Drumnadrochit es una zona muy tranquila, la gente es muy amable en las calles, si amas la naturaleza y el hiking te va a encantar, si amas la fiesta y las grandes ciudades este lugar no espara ti. En el bar del hostal puedes encontrar una colección maravillosa de cervezas escocesas y whisky. Besos

I have no words to describe what this summer here has meant to me. Nikki and Patrick are wonderful, always supportive and willing to help. The hostel is so well organized that working hours just fly by. I was lucky to share this experience with amazing volunteers who are now friends. The village is surrounded by beautiful trails, the people are lovely, and Inverness is very close, with plenty of places to explore on days off. Without a doubt, this has been one of the best experiences of my life. Thank you so much for the opportunity—I hope to see you again soon! 💜🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿✨

I absolutely loved my time at the hostel. Nikki and Patrick are amazing, I immediately felt at home and a part of the team. Hours and tasks are very manageable and there's always someone around to ask questions if you need help. The lodge itself is very cozy and cleaning is taken very seriously. The location is great and the views are amazing. It's close enough to Inverness for a nice getaway on days off and the locals are very nice.

I really enjoyed my time in the hostel at the hostel, where Nikki, Patrick, their two kids, and cute dog made the hostel feel very home-like. The other volunteers were all really lovely, nice people, and I couldn't have hoped for a better volunteer opportunity! The hours were all as agreed upon, the work straightforward, and you received weekly grocery money, which was appreciated. My favorite thing to do was go blackberry picking in my free time so I could bake in the staff kitchen! I especially enjoyed my trip to Inverness, the group pizza night, and hiking in Glen Affric.

Nikki and Patrick were extremely welcoming and gracious hosts during my stay in Drum, with the work tasks being very clear and reasonable, the work hours/shifts being respected and the work schedule flexible and planned out far in advance. Places to eat and buy some groceries are within walking distance, while the closest city with cheaper options is a 25 minute drive away. Drum is a great spot for people looking for a quiet escape from city life, the hostel and a base for great hikes, would recommend :)

I had a wonderful experience in Drum and Nikki & Patrick were fantastic hosts! They were great at communicating expectations and offered rides to Inverness regularly. I appreciated how much they cared that the volunteers were happy and provided great opportunities to experience the area and Scottish culture. The tasks were easy and the schedule was respected. It's a great location to see more of the Highlands and I highly recommend swimming in the hostel.

My experience and staying in general was wonderful! Nikki and Patrick are excellent hosts and workers, they are always willing to help you and listen to you in whatever you need, the habitability is one of the best I have lived in, the tasks to do are easy and there is nothing really complex to learn, I highly recommend the hostel as volunteering! It is also located in a beautiful place, completely green and with many things to see in its surroundings, thank you very much Nikki and Patrick for everything!

My experience in the Hostel was nice, the tasks are simple and Patrick knows how to explain and teach them, Thanks Nikki for the time we had together and the time with the kids, i wish we had more time along out of shift to get along.
