If you want to experience the local culture, this is the place! You will work with real parlemitanos and eat Italian food every day. The B&B is in the heart of the city, close to the train station and bus terminal, the sea, a nice park called Villa Giulia, and everything you need. The work is not difficult, you start your morning helping with the breakfast, mainly washing the dishes. After it, you will help cleaning the rooms! It's important you to communicate very well about everything. I think it's the only improvement point, the communication. The bedroom and bathroom are both great 👌

My time spent at the guest house was truly amazing ❤️ From the moment I arrived until I left I felt part of the family. The work is easy, it consists of helping with breakfast in the morning, cleaning the rooms and sometimes if needed you do the check ins. Andrea is a very kind & thoughtful host, he cooks the most amazing food. Carmella and Giuseppe are amazing people they are so friendly and are always ready to help. My time spent in the guest house will forever be in my heart I hope to return some day ❤️❤️❤️

I had a great time at the guest house! Andrea is a great host (and chef!), and very friendly. Carmela and Giuseppe are lovely too, and very funny. Everyone is kind and attentive, and they truly treat you as part of the team. The location is also great, since the B&B is close to the historic center and very cool bars and cafés. I really recommend this experience if you want a work that is easy and can be fun, while also having the time to explore the city/island and get to know new people. This was my first Worldpackers and it did not disappoint :)

Tive uma experiência sensacional ficando na guest house. Por ser uma região central, consegui pegar ônibus para conhecer as praias, caminhar e ver o centro e nos meus dias de folga viajei pra uma região próxima para ficar com meus amigos. Agradeço ao Andrea por todo suporte, refeições, flexibilidade e atenção. Carmella e Giuseppe que trabalharam comigo são pessoas incríveis, animadas e mesmo sem saber falar uma palavra em italiano foi maravilhoso poder compartilhar meu tempo e minha cultura com eles. Saudades já hahaha

My time in the guest house was fantastic. Andrea is a great host, and took us around Palermo showing us good places to eat and explore. Giuseppe and Carmela are absolutely wonderful, they treat you like family, and I always felt cared for. Work is easy, your main role is to support the staff and often we clock off early. Sometimes you may complete small tasks outside your shifts, but nothing tedious. After shifts, we share lunch together and these moments are often where you feel you are living the Sicilian life. The location is also great and can get around easily. Thank you for having me :)

My experience at B&B the guest house was my first as a worldpackers volunteer. I spent a wonderful month at the side of Andrea who is a very welcoming and friendly host. The work is done in the morning, just clean the rooms and common areas of the B&B, sometimes you have to check-in. Next to that you have your free afternoons and two days off in the week, so all the time to explore the wonders of Sicily. Andrea's friends are also great and all will make you feel at home. It was a rewarding experience and I leave with very good memories.

The guest house is a very charming place. The people there was really warm and friendly with me, I felt like part of the family. Andrea is a great host, he took me out to walk around and meet his friends so I really felt the vibes of living in Palermo, he also checked all the time if I was okay and enjoying the experience. His friends were also really nice and made me feel welcome. Palermo is incredibly beautiful and there's a lot to do and explore there. Is important to learn some Italian before go there because not everyone speaks English. I already miss it, I hope to come back some day!

My experience in B&B the guest house has been simply enriching. I had the opportunity to collaborate in this b&b learning about the Italian culture with Andrea, Carmela and Guiseppe spending a beautiful time together; the tasks are very simple… mostly doing housekeeping in the morning which allows you to have the rest of the day free and get to know Palermo perfectly (+ it has an excellent location). This volunteering allows you to really connect and learn about the Italian culture, you are treated like family. So without further ado... I highly recommend this place! Grazie mille per tutto! 🫶🏼

The guest house is a B&B in the city center, which makes it easy to get used to the city. Most of the tasks are in the morning and include helping with breakfast and cleaning the rooms. You'll be working with Carmela and Giuseppe, a super nice couple who will teach you the real Palermitan dialect ;) If you're looking for a cultural experience, this is a great spot. But keep in mind, it's good to have some intermediate Italian skills and be okay with being on your own since you'll be the only volunteer. Personally, I decided to leave earlier than planned because I didn't comfortable there.

My experience has been amazing and fascinating! Andrea is truly a heartwarming person is so hospitality and always takes good care of me. He treated me as part of them and showed me around Palermo city and also made the best/real Italian food for me! The tasks are easy and the people here are fairly nice and welcoming too. I'd definitely recommend people who want to do their work exchange here at the guest house. I can't ask for more but grateful to be here and appreciate what I've received from them, it was a true honour for me to have built a wonderful friendship with them.
