Help me taking care for rescued animals

El refugio es un lugar perfecto para desconectar el refugio vida cotidiana. El paisaje del lugar es increíble. Los animales son rescatados y muchos de ellos presentan traumas por lo que ha de tenerse en cuenta que algunos sean agresivos, otros dominantes o incluso miedosos, por lo que es un trabajo que requiere de paciencia. Además, el vínculo que he creado con algunos animales, el equipo y los voluntarios es hermoso. Los momentos más mágicos eran las comidas que compartíamos juntos. Un placer ayudar a Liala a construir conciencia sobre el cuidado de los animales.

Es un voluntariado que te deja grandes enseñanzas, te brinda una óptica diferente sobre el cuidado de los animales y obtienes el amor de ellos cada día. Disfrute mucho trabajar en equipo con los otros voluntarios y con Liala, que es una persona que admiro profundamente por su trabajo incansable para brindar calidad de vida a los animales y tratar de salvar vidas de aquellos que están expuestos a malas condiciones.

Está fué nuestra segunda véz en el refugio y fué igual de maravillosa que la primera, ya consideramos Este Lugar como un Segundo hogar, el refugio es en Medio del desierto en UN Lugar completamente tranquilo, estas rodeado de mas de 100 animales que re quieren de TU cuidado y cariño, Liala necesita mucha ayuda para hacer de este Lugar un Santuario ideal así que preparate para ayudar y disfrutar una experiencia completamente inusual, en la Cocina siempre hay comida disponible 🤤

Even tho the first few days at the shelter were a bit overwhelming for me as there was so many new things to learn, so many animals to take care of and I wasn't used to a off grid lifestyle either, the more time I spent there the more I adapted to these things and grew to love it. The place is truly wonderful, I met so many amazing people from all over the world there. Work was good as well and sometimes there would even be time to go to the beach in the afternoon. the shelter, the people i met there and the animals will forever have a place in my heart.

My experience was positive and immersive for the deep contact with the animals: in addition to giving them food and cuddles in certain situations medications are also required. The farm is located in a beautiful place, completely immersed in the nature of Lanzarote from which you can see and easily reach the sea. The accommodation may not be within everyone's reach due to the limited resources and the close contact with the animals but it is still an experience that I recommend to develop awareness of the needs of the animals and of one's own environmental footprint.

Roberto was a valuable support for our team. He was friendly, well organized and worked in a structured and reliable way. He showed great empathy towards the animals and often offered his skills and time beyond what was expected. In addition, his work in the kitchen was especially appreciated – together with Noemi, he many times made sure we had something nice to eat.

I had an amazing experience at the shelter! It's definitely a one-of-a-kind place where I met many incredible people from all over the world. The first few days can be a bit challenging because of the new environment (living so closely with animals, limited access to water & electricity, hearing animal noises all day long). But once you adapt, the work with the animals is truly rewarding and you begin to appreciate the simple, slower pace of life. So if you love animals and don't mind a more rustic and off-grid lifestyle this is an amazing experience you will never forget!

My stay at the shelter was a great experience. I learned a lot about animals. I never had an intense contact with farm animals before, it was one of the most interesting things I've ever experienced . Every animal is very friendly, and I also fell in love with a few:) There are also many kinds of animals inside the house, which was hard to get used to for me. But after a few days, it was completely normal and I also liked it in the end:) I had a great time and I'm sure I will come back one day.

The experience was very good overall. The people were great and the animals are friendly. We get lots of food options to chose from and the work is manageable. The worst part is the noise of all the animals but if you can handle the noise then the work is very rewarding and the island is interesting to explore.

I'm so grateful for my experience at the shelter. Be aware, the work is hard and life conditions not exactly comfortable (no electricity at night, very little water, nearest bus stop 1h walking). At first you'll be overwhelmed (so many animals, possibly sick or scared, so much stuff to remember in order to keep them alive, and instructions can be messy) and maybe overworked (it's almost never 5h/day), BUT THE ANIMALS! The animals are so cute, crazy, funny and lovely, they will make you feel at home and have fun every day. Also, the location is amazing! Cuddle Napoleon for me ❤️

I had an amazing experience in the shelter. I felt like welcomed and in a community since the first moment as you eat all together. The place, as stated, is in nowhere, so you have to walk 1 h to reach the city. Expect to spend your week in the sanctuary or around the desert and explore in the free days. Sometimes there was a bit of frustration going on around the place, due to the huge amount of animals and I wish there would be more space for dialogue and ideas, especially for animals in temporary situations (ex roosters). Still everything perfect, but this could be improved.
