The place and surrounding areas is beautiful, this part of Sicily has some of the best beaches I've ever seen. The tasks were easy and hours were respected, I worked mornings so by the afternoon we were free so plenty of spare time. The nearest beach is about 25 minutes walk but there are many more beaches a bit further out. Thanks to Emmanuele we got to visit Marsala and erice alongside different places for gelato, his cooking is also amazing. Overall Nice people, definitely recommend if you want to explore western Sicily.

This was one of the best experiences i've done here on Worldpackers so far. It was a new experience for me to live on a boat, and it was amazing. Marco is very flexible about hours of work and he and his girlfriend, Jesse, are always making sure you are feeling comfortable, even from "far". The work was good, the place was beautiful and my backyard was on the beach! I highly recommend it if you want to have a different experience from the usual and live on the sea!!

My experience was incredible! Great way to get in touch with the culture of Sicily and discover incredible places! Everyone in the house was very friendly and welcoming, they made me feel at home. Emanuele cooks delicious meals, he also took me to visit places around and to taste the best gelatos and typical foods. The place is beautiful and by walking 25 minutes you reach a beautiful beach. I had a lot of fun and I definitely recommend this experience!

I mainly stayed in the house doing some gardening and everyday house chores. I got to help on the boat once doing some polishing and cleaning, which is a good experience and the sunset view from the port was amazing. I learned some Italian words from Marco's dad Emanuele, who is this sweetest, kindest and cutest person! Molto dolce e simpatico e carino! He cooks amazing food and loves to show us around places! He would often take us to get gelato after we finish with our tasks. Everyone I met there was nice to me. Thank you Marco, Jessika, Mariana, Alice and Emanuele!

Had one of the best experiences as a traveler in Serendipa, I felt so happy since they pick me up, everyone at the house will always do everything to make you feel comfortable and at home. Emanuele is the most incredible person u can meet, such a huge heart. He cooks all the most incredible plates ever. That was the most authentic experience I could ask for. It was so special to participate of the atmosphere of their house for a while, got to know Sicily through the eyes of a local who is so passionate about his land, learn italian from scratch, and gardening. Ill never forget my days there

Jé, Marco e Ema são os melhores hosts que eu poderia encontrar. Vivi momentos inesquecíveis, o dia do barco foi um dos melhores da minha vida, fomos pra uma praia surreal e fomos tomar gelato remando no bote!Aprendi muito com a Jé, sem dizer a comida e a alegria do Emanuele,que é um sábio na arte de viver,é um ser especial de outra dimensão! A chácara é linda!Pude equilibrar voluntariado,trabalho online e passeios. Vocês são minha família na Sicília!S2

SeridiPa was my first volunteer. It was lovely from beginning to end. As a female solo traveler my concern was safety and I felt the safest there. The job is quite fiscal challenging so keep that in mind and give yourself a chance 💪🏼. As is a household sometimes you'll go a bit over the hours but worth every single minute since you feel like part of the family, get a cultural immersion, meet locals, eat great food made by Emanuele ❤️, and if you get lucky meet tons of new places. I would definitely recommend it and I hope to comeback someday 🥰

I've found my new family in Palermo. It was a wonderful experience and indeed you are treated like family from day one. I love nature, both sea and mountains, so I'm super happy I was able to stay at the house during these days working and helping both inside and outside. Every single minute was also fun, we laughed so much (and yes, I ate so much. Sorry, to Ema's cooking it's harrrrd to resist!) I'm insanely grateful to everybody! Ema, Marc, Jess, Dani, and the piccolina! We had a lovely Easter as well! Thanks so much! Can't wait to meet you all again!

This has been my first experience as a volunteer and it has been beautiful. From the beginning I felt welcome and at home. Emmanuele, Jessika and Marco were always very kind and friendly. They always make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need. Emmanuele cooks deliciously and loves to show you places and tell you about her story. About the work I must say that the working hours were respected and the tasks are simple. I did some gardening and painting work in the garden and everyday cleaning tasks. It has certainly been a beautiful experience!

My experience has been my favorite world packers trip so far! From the moment I arrived I was treated like family, I felt so welcomed. I worked at the house rather than on the boat because of the winter weather, but all tasks were straightforward and my amazing hosts explained everything. The food is INCREDIBLE, I've been able to practice my Italian and live in some of the most beautiful countryside I've ever seen. I am so grateful to have spent this time here and would highly recommend!
