I had an amazing time at the hostel and in La the hostel. I worked during breakfast, taking orders, serving plates, and washing dishes. Especially while serving breakfast, you get to interact with a lot of people, which is really nice. Even though I didn't speak much Spanish, the staff welcomed me and helped me learn new words—especially breakfast vocabulary! The vibe at the hostel is great, and spending time with the other volunteers and guests was a lot of fun. I highly recommend it!

Had a great time volunteering ! My task was social media, and though the work was laid-back, the biggest challenge was the WiFi. I had slow or no connection, especially in the team dorm, but the hostel did improve the WiFi towards the end of my stay. I was able to program the reels afterward! The couple running the hostel were friendly, and I enjoyed connecting with the staff(I woke up 5,30 and would help the morning team every day while taking photos and videos), especially Mauricio and Luis. Despite the WiFi issues, I'd recommend the hostel for its great location and welcoming atmosphere

Your schedule is clear from the beginning, but it is also flexible upon request. My Spanish is not great, but everyone was welcoming and some of the staff spoke english so I was able to understand what to do and how to do it well. The tasks at the reception are easy to learn and and they don't ask more of you than what you signed up for. The volunteers have a room together so it's easy to make friends with others. JD and Michelle, the couple that is responsible for the hostel also brought all of us to Chacaltaya on a little day trip and it was overall a great experience!

For personal reasons, I arrived at the hostel a day early and they welcomed me without any problem. Great atmosphere, the rooftop was very nice and the staff was very friendly! I definitely recommend it!

My volunteer experience at the hostel was great! Clara provided me with detailed training. I felt ready and comfortable to work at reception on my own for my next shift. Typically, I worked 5 hours per day for five days. Clara, Michelle, Roger, Mauricio & Moises, and the rest of the team were wonderful; they took me in like family and supported me when I needed it. Working at reception was a terrific way to meet travelers and improve my Spanish. The team dorm is spacious, and I enjoyed spending time with the other volunteers. Thank you for a wonderful experience! 😊

The hostel was fantastic! Cris spent a few hours training me for reception and then oversaw my first shift. He was patient and wrote up check-in procedures for me to follow. My tasks were exactly as expected. Clara, Cris, Claudia, Roger, Mauricio, Moises and the rest of the team were really helpful and my Spanish improved a lot over the two weeks I was there. I worked for 5 hours 5 days a week with two consecutive days off which allowed me to visit more of beautiful Bolivia. The team dorm is well maintained and having access to the staff kitchen kept costs down. Thanks for everything :)

I had a lovely time volunteering in the breakfast shift at the hostel. Lucho and his brother Mauricio are so professional, nice and easy going, it makes the mornings fly by. Tasks are easy and they are flexible with the volunteers. Chris is a magnificent manager and he knows how to build a family among the volunteers. They made my time in La the hostel feel very special - I cannot wait to come back!

I very much enjoyed my time volunteering on reception at the hostel. Typically I worked five hours in the evening, five days per week. The hostel was flexible if I wanted to change my hours to do some activity instead. I enjoyed the opportunity to improve my Spanish talking with guests and staff, and to spend time with the other volunteers. All of the staff were very welcoming and nice and willing to help with anything. A special thanks to Cris who showed me the ropes of reception and was my first point of call during my time at the hostel.

I had a great time working with the team at the hostel and would recommend this experience to anyone planning to visit La the hostel. The team are super friendly and supportive and overall it was a great experience. Working at reception was a great way to meet a whole range of international travelers and I visited during Halloween which was a surreal experience. Lovely team and energy.
