An hour by MRT from the hostel, it was nice to see/feel the contrast in Tamsui. It's slower paced & can enjoy great sunsets. The staff at the hostel were friendly, the tasks were well explained & have plenty of free time. It's not a social hostel but nice to chill & take in the local area.

I had an incredible 5 weeks at the hostel. Expectations are clear, the staff is great to work with, and tasks can be finished within 2-3 hours/day. I am so grateful to Carrie, Peggy, Ashley, Yun and Ping for their gracious hearts and delicious food recommendations! I also appreciate that with short notice I was able to extend my stay when my flight got cancelled due to the typhoon. Tamsui is so beautiful and truly feels like a second home. There is so much to do and see in the immediate area and the hostel is very accessible (buses, MRT, YouBike). Thank you again!

Staffs are very kind. we talked a lot after the shif and during the shift. if the task was a lot, even the reception staff helped us. during the volunteer period, i had chinese class and the host rearranged my schedule for my class. the hostel's located in very peaceful and beautiful area Danshui i'd definitely like to come back here again 謝謝 大家!!

I loved my time volunteering at the hostel. The work can usually be finished within 4 hours, and the schedule is flexible. The permanent workers and the other volunteers were all lovely, and the hostel really feels like a community. The only downside I can think of was that some of the male guests made me uncomfortable. Of course, if there had been outright harassment, I am sure more would have been done. I could also have communicated more clearly. Regardless, I am so grateful for my time in DanShui, and I would definitely consider coming back. Many thanks to Carrie and the whole team!!

I had a great time in Tamsui at the hostel Hotel. The work is really not complicated and only takes two to three hours a day. Tamsui is also a beautiful, quieter place than the hostel to relax and watch magnificent sunsets with several local restaurants nearby, but the hostel remains very accessible by bus or MRT. I would also like to thank all the people working in the hotel year-round who welcomed me, helped me, listened to me... they are wonderful people, I laughed a lot, learned a lot at their side. Thank you very much Peggy, Ashley, Yun and Carrie, don't change a thing ❤️

The past one month has been a fulfilling and joyful time. It feels like I just arrived yesterday, but the wonderful days have flown by so quickly. I'm truly grateful to the staff who made this time so comfortable and meaningful. Carrie, Peggy, Ping, and Ashley — thanks to you, I had a relaxing and unforgettable experience. This was my seventh visit to Taiwan, but the hostel is the first place where I've stayed for over a month. Thanks to your warm hospitality — sometimes like family, sometimes like close friends — I felt happy and deeply thankful throughout my stay.

A clean and tidy environment, the work is not difficult, and is usually completed in 2 hours. When you are not visiting somewhere in the hostel, you can enjoy the coastal road, where there are plenty of food places around. You can make your holidays coincide and go on long distances. It takes about 1 hour to go to the center of the hostel by subway.

I've spent a wonderful month with the team. The place is really chill, and everyone take care you, you won't be alone in your journey ! They really helped me to feel comfortable and enjoying Taiwan even more! The job is classic housekeeping, and let you on the weekdays a lot of time to explore the area. I had a very good time in this hostel, the staff is very friendly and welcome. If you have a problem you can always talk with them, they will help you. During the week the work take around 2h only , and more Time for the weekend. So I highly recommended this host. It was a great experience.
