Our experience at the dog shelter was unforgettable. I wouldn't dream of giving anything less than a 5 star review because the hosts are so caring and commited to their cause and because the animals are so sweet. We made many friends of both two and four legged variety and couldn't recommend the experience more. It's important to be somewhat in shape for this job as there are a lot of stairs and walking involved. It also helps to be a nature lover and comfortable with rustic living. The volunteer cabin can be dark and humid in the summer and inhabited by various bugs.
