Volunteering at the host has been a wonderful experience. The work is as easy and relaxed as described. There's plenty of time to explore Antigua. Kelsey is a delightful person who goes out of her way to ensure all volunteers have a great time in Antigua. She's always available to chat if you need anything. You get to meet the guides and the staff, who are all very lovely, patient, and helpful. You can practice your Spanish with all of them. The highlight, of course, was the incredible volcano hike. I highly recommend this place:)

As my first time volunteering, this opportunity motivated and taught so much. the host was wonderful; I got to meet incredible people among staff and volunteers. The staff, including guides, cooks, receptionists, and Kelsey, were super helpful and welcoming. Tasks were straightforward and I had flexibility scheduling days off and choosing shifts since there were more volunteers! Note that maintaining cleanliness and living conditions is up to the volunteers so being proactive about it is key. the host let me experience Antigua in unimaginable ways, im extremely grateful for the opportunity.

I loved my experience at the host! Every member of the staff is welcoming and helpful, they can answer any questions you may have. Kelsey, the host, was kind to me and the work was what was agreed upon. The shifts are easy and you never work more than 3.5 hours a day, leaving lots of time to relax and explore Antigua. Although the living conditions could be improved upon, it is the responsibility of the volunteers to keep the living space organized and clean, which is understandable. Overall, I would definitely recommend this WP experience to other solo female travelers! <3

My stay at the host was an unforgettable way to see Antigua. The other volunteers and staff were all so friendly and I made some amazing friends here. Kelsey is always around and available to help with anything whether it was work related or not. The job was nice and easy and getting to join in on the Volcano tours was just an added bonus. I got to see a more local side of Antigua and absolutely loved my time here. Would definitely recommend!

I had an amazing unforgettable time at the host! Kelsey is always there and you can talk about everything with her! She showed me all the tasks at the beginning. The things you have to do are easy and the work fun most of the time! All the Guides, the people in the kitchen and in the front office are so kind and funny and you can also talk to them anytime and about everything. Everybody will help you! The accommodation with the other volunteers is perfect and it's like your own apartment, with friends! Antigua is the perfect city for a volunteer. You can da lot in and around the city :)

My volunteer stay at the host was more than I could ask for. The other volunteers were very welcoming, and I created several great friendships and wonderful memories. Kelsey is awesome, and I wish I could spend more time here. I am devastated to have to go. Work was very simple and easy, I can't really complain about anything besides the mosquitoes, but I felt very supported and accommodated the whole time. You can go on the volcano excursions on your days off for free! I was able to really immerse myself and meet a lot of locals as well. I definitely want to come back before my trip ends:)

I had a really great experience volunteering at the host tours. The work is easy to understand and the whole team is very nice and will help you out if you have any questions. The living area is very private and the kitchen is nicely equipped. Antigua is also a very nice little town with a unique charm and the hiking tours are definitely one of the highlights in Guatemala.

This is great place to go if you're looking to be central and meet friends. Unfortunately my stay was cut short due to their being multiple rodent infestations, black mold in the shower and a very dirty living space. The common area is not of use and the rodents are very well in the kitchen after 6pm. Be sure to make your meals in the daylight hours. Kitchen is not well equipped and the sink is continually clogged which contributes to the rats and mice. When brought to Kelsey's attention I was told it was the volunteers responsibility to handle.
