My first job volunteer and it couldn't be better. Olov is a such lovely person. we felt really welcoming since the first moment we arrived in Söderala. My husband and I worked on the garden, so we learned about the flowers, seeds, and trees. However, there are other stuffs to learn and work in the farm. Olov is paciente to teach and explain about the job and everything you wanna know about Sweden history and culture. During our stay Olov brought us to a rock concert, to visit several lakes and the beach, and he also took us to a folk music festival where he taught me how to dance Polska.

My experience there couldn't be better. Olov is a great guy, very welcoming and considerate person to all volunteers. I really enjoyed the house (specially the music instruments and vinyl player within the house). My wife and I learned a lot about gardening, plants, flowers, seeds and we ate the best strawberry which was from the yard. We also learned a lot about Swedish music, culture and history! There are bikes, so it's really easy to go around and there are loads of things to do in free time. I had a great time and great experience there!

My time at Olov's farm has been rewarding and fun! I learned how to the farm cows, make paint, and Swedish dance! Olov is committed to immersing volunteers in the local culture, whether it's a folk music festival, a museum, or live music in the nearby city! During downtime, volunteers have access to bikes or can go swimming at nearby lakes and rivers. Volunteers get their own rooms, everyone cooks together and enjoys fresh meals.

Olle gave me the tasks that were agreed on and I could work on my own. I had my own room and there was enough food everyday! My task demanded it so I worked a little bit more than agreed but that was my own decision. You are able to manage your own workdays and Olle doesn't force you to work more! I had very much fun working in his wood workshop and at his brothers farm with the cows and driving the tractor 😄

My stay at Olle's farm was my first volunteering experience and it was really nice. Olle is a quirky and funny guy who will try his best to make you feel comfortable. I had a ton of fun working on projects on the farm and getting to know other volunteers as well as the Swedish countryside/culture :) One thing to keep in mind is, that you have to be prepared to clean a lot as a farm can get dirty pretty fast.(Of course only if you want everything to be squeaky clean, it's not mandatory) Overall I can recommend Olle's farm to anyone who loves outside work and good company! (And good food haha)

It was really great we did mostly gardening and little building things. Olle is really nice, he can tell you many storys about the region and the swedish music. Beside the working there are many things to do in your free time, we went to cinema and also on a musicquiz , ona a bike tour ( you can also just take the bikes if you want to go somewhere and just the volunteers went on a hike. So you can have next to the work many other experiences:) I really enjoyed it to stay here:)✨✨

Hey :-) I staid for about two weeks on the farm and flat in Uppsala. I overall enjoyed the time and met some amazing new friends. I especially liked the work with the cows. Olov showed us Uppsala and took us on some short trips which I appreciated. There are some points where I see room for improvement. At some points I missed a bit of guidance and structure when it came to the tasks and other volunteers. Because Olov sometimes leaves to go to Uppsala we had to organise ourselves. This was hard with volunteers that didn't take any responsibility. I am thankful for this experience :-)

I evaluate my experience in the Olov's farm completely positive. I saw few times Olov because dealth with cows care. However, the timetable was completely respected,no extra hours, duties and spare time well balanced. In cow barn, I met Olov's brother Hoke, his wife Maria and the employee Jusper. They were so kind, explaining everything with patience, since job environment was really serene. Olov always provided food regardless he was or wasn't at home. The house is so large, thereby is possible for volunteers get together in common spaces or have their privacy inside their rooms.
