I would recommend this to someone that really likes to party everyday and socialize 24/7, where you live you don't have a kitchen so basically you spend all day in the shared space in the hostel. My experience wasn't great because I arrived in the middle of unresolved chaos between management and volunteers, otherwise I think it would've been a great experience. Guests are really cool to meet.

Fiquei 4 semanas no One Fam e conheci pessoas maravilhosas ( em grande parte outros voluntários ) que fizeram minha estadia indescritível! Você fica em um flat a 3 minutos do hostel que realmente a proposta é só dormir lá pois não tem internet nem cozinha. E talvez você acabe trabalhando mais do que 25h em algumas semanas. Acredito que a experiência de maneira geral contribuiu muito para o meu desenvolvimento mas também grande parte não teria sido tão boa sem as pessoas incríveis que conheci. No final da experiência tive um desentendimento com o anfitrião.

Ana worked 16 shifts over the course of her 4 week stay, averaging 24 hrs of work per week. The dissagreement was that she left before her agreed leaving date giving us little notice and refused to complete her final shift, which she had agreed previosly to do so, resulting in another member of the team (one of the other 'wonderful' volunteers) having to take her shift. Very dissapointing work ethic and commitment to her promises.

O desacordo foi que ela saiu antes da data de saída acordada, nos avisando com pouca antecedência, e se recusou a completar seu último turno, o que ela havia concordado anteriormente, fazendo com que outro membro da equipe (um dos outros voluntários “maravilhosos”) tivesse que assumir seu turno. A ética de trabalho e o compromisso com suas promessas são muito decepcionantes.

After I arrived in Barcelona, they made a last minute change that I would work at another hostel instead of the one I had agreed to. I had no choice but to go there, but people weren't prepared for me to come, and at first I didn't feel welcomed. Volunteers stayed in flats, not hostels, and the kitchens and showers don't work so I had to work 15 minutes every day just to shower at the hostel. It's fun if you like drinking, partying, and socialising 24/7 but it could get quite exhausting.

Great place to connect with people from all over the world. The hostel is very well structured and has many group activities, which allows you to meet lots of people and make lots of friends. The people are amazing and make you feel at home, I highly recommend it!

This was the absolute best experience of my entire life. i have never felt more at home, happy, comfortable. this experience gave me the peak of my life. the hostle is built by their staff. my manager, agustin was the most amazing person and boss i could've asked for. every worker is so happy to be there, that there is no negativity and always helping hands around. if you are a social person, this is the perfect job for you but don't look at it like a job, look at it through an experience. live every moment to the fullest. sleep when you get home, go out as much as you can! 11/10 experience.

I stayed in OneFam Les Corts and I had the best time! All of the 5 hostels worked together like a big family and I felt really welcomed by everyone! You get the chance to explore the city and it's nightlife with the hostel. Most of the work is helping around the hostel or socialising with the guests, so if you like being around people you will love this volunteering!:) I met amazing people while I was there and I already miss it, I will definitely come back!!<3

The experience is truly one to remember. The work is easy and you get to do with your freetime whatever you want to. I met hundreds of travellers in the few weeks i have been there and it was one of the best trips i ever did. It was my first time volunteering and i felt welcomed :) You get to meet other volunteers there and make friends for a lifetime. You'll be having the most fun if you are reallyyy social and outgoing with an endless social battery ;))

I dont know where to begin since this has honestly been the best experience one could imagine. The staff was absolutely amazing, the atmosphere was so welcoming and fun and the entire concept of the hostel was amazing. I had so much fun every day here and would recommend volunteering here to ANYONE. I honestly do not have anything bad to say, i am just so grateful to have been part of this team. <3
