The host, Eva and Ben have been absolutely amazing hosts. I have learnt a lot about diving, marine life and boats. The work consists of guiding tours, mainly snorkeling but it can also include hiking, fishing trips and diving trips. There is also general housekeeping. You will meet a lot of guests from all over the world, other volunteers and locals. This experience is perfect if you love all things water and adventure! The island is stunning and perfect for a reset from cities! Thanks again to the team at AWJ!

I had a great time in AWJ, Tioman Island. The resort is beautiful as well as the staffs. You'll be meeting a lot of traveler and as well as co-volunteer. Ben, the host and Eva were amazing hosts. The tasks include housekeeping, dealing with customers and a tour guide during the snorkeling/diving/hiking/fishing trip. It can be really busy during peak season and might need to work in extended hours. Otherwise, you have the time to relax and enjoy the nature during your free time. Terima Kasih, AWJ!

The host and Eva were kind hosts who make me feel like in home. Although, depending on the occupancy of the resort we had to prepare and plan ahead, we could enjoy the wild nature around us. We could do many activities such as hiking, snorkeling, diving, kayaking and visiting the villages of Tioman Island. Your functions and housekeeping tasks are clear since the start so you can organise yourself. I really enjoyed being with other volunteers and talking with the guests of Tunamaya resort. I learned a lot and I will definitely recommend this experience to other travelers! A pleasure AWJ!

Was an awesome experience at adventures the host!! Do I recommend this place? 100%. Daily tasks are mostly cleaning and taking guests on tours. Communication is good and work schedule was given several days before. We went on plenty of hikes to the nearby village and went to the other side of the island on a few days off. It's secluded, so you have to take a boat to get to most places on the island. Loved this place!!

Super easy! We'd help with snorkeling trips and giving out gear at the shop for rentals. You do have to pay for the scuba course which is like $200. The dive shop is where you sleep in a room upstairs or I was in the girls dorm in the back. They either provide a cash stipend to buy groceries or you can get the employee meals, it's not what they serve at the restaurant it's always rice chicken or fish. Was super fun though the island and town 1 mile away is super cute!

I loved staying at the hotel center. After my 4 weeks I am still here. Eva, John and Reevan are really lovely people. I learned a lot about diving and how to be on tour with the costumers. They put a lot off trust in me and if I had any questions or problems I could always ask. Very helpful and respectful family and also the people from the hotel are so nice. The diving center is directly at the beach and you are also free to use the pool. I recommend a volunteering here.
