My time at Gijón the hostel was really good. My fellow volunteers were the thing that made the experience. The work is not difficult, but it was sometimes hard to do things with fellow volunteers due to how the shifts lined up. The host is very passionate about the hostel and expects that all work carried out reflects positively on the hostel. Gijón is an amazing place and the nature is spectacular. During off-season there is no surf lessons, but you can use the surfboards and bikes, which was great. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to spend time with other great volunteers.

Really enjoyed my time at GSH! It was super nice to be so close to the beach and nice hiking trails. The work was straightforward and the manager provided a checklist which made it easy to see what was required.

As a first experience of volunteering I couldn't ask for better. The hostel is a beautiful and welcoming villa just a few minutes walk from the sea. I'm grateful for this experience and for the friendships I've made. Definitely recommend it.

Had the best time at the hostel. It is not a traditional hostel which I loved, you feel like living in a cozy, nice villa. Work is not demanding, Eze is a great supervisor, cannot ask for a better one. Very helpful and always makes sure that you are comfortable and enjoying your time. The best part is the lovely people that I met and the friendships that I made with people from all around the world.

Gijón the hostel was the best first experience of volunteering for me. When I first arrived, I immediately felt welcomed and over the time it became a home for us volunteers. The work wasn't hard and the team was great. Ezequiel took us to the mountains, cool surf spots and other activities which I am really grateful for. Thanks for the amazing time, I would love to come back one day!

The time at the hostel in Gijón was wonderful. I felt very comfortable from the first moment, in the house, with all the volunteers and also the guests. The nature around Gijón is impressive, so besides the possibility to go surfing every day, you should definitely go for some walks and hikes. Ezequiel, the manager, is concerned that all volunteers are doing well and get the most out of their time in Gijón, which is very nice. I experienced more than I could have imagined and can recommend the GSH experience to everyone❤️

The hostel is a super cozy house in the residential area, well located for surfing spots. Since the first moment, I was respected and supported by Ezequiel, who was always looking forward to help and explain the ins and outs. I had one of the best experiences of my life, especially because of the relationships I could forge. It's hard to believe how you can get lost in the life of the hostel, jumping from jamming sessions to long chats with travellers, shared dinners and spontaneous parties. It's always original and that's why I believe life is better at GSH

I had an amazing time in the hostel and met awesome people from all over the globe! It was a great opportunity to practice spanish as well, everyone helped me a lot! The hostel location is very good and with the bicycle you can go everywhere very easily. The staff room is very organized and comfy and the breakfast is perfect with everything you need! The manager, Ezequiel, is demanding so that the hostel works in the best possible way, but also is a very funny person, with a big heart and always open to hear new ideas! Also, the staff was perfect and I made friends for life, gracias Gijón💖
